Great time lapse! I just got a pitcher plant and am watching it form pitchers for the first time. This video was a great way to watch the process, and a reassurance that the pitchers were healthy and developing properly! Very excited to watch my own blossom 😄

So cool! Just got a new nepenthes a few weeks ago. We trimmed dead traps and leaves. And one of its leaves that was small and curled up. Opened. But my cat ate it 😢. One pitcher got damaged. But i didn't know that theyll grow that fast 😄

Wow! Fantastic! I own the p1000 too and i cannot understand how you made such a long timelapse. The only settings the camera has for timelapse are from 10min to 150min. And superlapse (movie) maximum recording time is 29min. I also checked on the manual and there isnt any way to disable these time limits. Can you explain how you did it? 🤔
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne 2 жыл бұрын
The interval function can be selected under the menu item serial recording. There you can choose the interval at which the photos should be taken. There is no time limit. You can see it here in another video of mine. The menu can only be seen in German there. I hope this helps you anyway. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2ixiomahtycn9E

Do they need special soil and humidity or can we grow them under normal sunlight like a regular house plant??
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne 2 жыл бұрын
Nepenthes need special soil for carnivorous plants. The soil must not be too rich in nutrients. In addition, you should only water them with rainwater, since tap water usually contains too much lime. The pot should be permanently submerged in water to keep the soil moist. And then the plant should be in a relatively sunny place. It also does not tolerate cold.

Do you fill your pitchers with water yourself? Trying to find a definitive answer on whether I should do this...
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne
@LindemannFilmFotoDrohne 3 жыл бұрын
no, they fill themselves with water. If the water from the Nepenthes' pitchers accidentally spills you can add something yourself. but very little and only rainwater or distilled water. If I added too much water, the pitchers dried up.
