Hard lines Jamie, i was there on Sunday (Beeches) and did ok but there were lots of signs of fish spawning around the complex. Maybe this accounts for the unusually slow day

Sorry to hear you only managed a 3rd in section Jamie mate, hopefully you'll do better in the other rounds. How is your dad doing by the way and does he ever fish now as I often hear you say you take him with you when you go to matches

Well fished Jamie. I think you put the finger on it i that might have had a better result with a different Bait. Who knows. Still 3rd is better than lower and with 3 matches to go you are still in the frame. Cheers and looking forward to the next one.

It certainly fished hard on Laurels. The fish you had weren't a bad size. I reckon l had about 70 fish for my 50lb . The lad next door had 59lb and only got 5 points. He had 6 carp. Can't think what else I could have done. If you do go for a practice at Halcroft and don't mind company as l could do with the practice. Watching the video l now know what to do if l draw 14 Laurels.

The fish have definitely not wanted to come down and feed and the wind looked like it was into the other side of the island which is where the winner came from. Did you try any other colours of wafter?
