Such a good concert they put on. One year did Christmas shop and as we went passed City Hall in Sheffield I said to my wife "Shall we see if there are any tickets left?" We took our Christmas shopping to the Lindisfarne concert....fits with the mood!

I went saw these guys at a small venue in the early 90’s with my dad. Was 1 of the first concerts I ever went to. I wasn’t much older than 10 or 11 and was first real taste of ‘proper’ music. Loved every second of it

totally agree with the you tube inventor comment. Saw these guys at a Bedlington (Northumberland) School Hop, circa 1968, when they were called The Bretherin. A great live band man. Alan Hull RIP.

Saw them a couple of times at the City Hall in the 70's. Fantastic band. This was one of their highlights. It went on for ages and became almost a jam session just like this video. You have to be a Geordie to appreciate them properly

They sang the new year in at the Kirk (Kirklevington Country Club) one year in my sordid past. As I recall (or was told, being somewhat brown aled) they were brilliant. I do remember dancing like a twat to their version of Knees up Mother Brown. Still, some say I danced like a twat all the time .... brilliant times. Cheers to all

Good song. a number of issues with it.1, It sounds better when you are singing along with your mates, 2 Better when you have had a few. 3 Better when you are 20 years old. I might manage 1 and 2. I can't even remember waht it was like to be 20. Nice edge to the song

@@Isleofskye Not really. I realise that I have "spent" at least 80% of my life. And "look forward" to the prospect of decline health. I know some of the things I would like to do, to see happen. I am deeply unhappy at the way the world is going. But realise that the way the world, and my very little part of it, are utterly beyond my ability to effect.
@Isleofskye Жыл бұрын
@@romanbrough I understand, my friend but you MUST make the most of every day. Even this very week,I have a real reminder of that because, as you may know, the very fit: Trevor Francis died, suddenly,of a heart attack and he was born within a month of me in the same year of 1954 so if it can happen to Trevor... Good Luck. So far, almost perfect health with only 2 and a half hours in hospital in one 2016 visit in the last 63 years since 1960 but who knows what is around the corner..I don't like being 69 but I am delighted that I was born in the much less regulated and freer days in earlier decades. Good Luck.
@romanbroughАй бұрын
Also born in 1954. Just had my 70th. Have you noticed that no-one has made any pop songs since ABBA broke up. Just having another nostalgic evening. Watching UFO, Star Trek, listening to songs of the late sixties early seventies. I wonder if anyone will be watching this in another ten or twenty years. Possibly ten, probably not twenty. Unless it's in the nursing home. And I don't intend to go there to die.

@TheWholigans - you can get a Geordie away from Newcastle, but you´ll never get Newcastle out of a Geordie? I´m from far far away, but I still swear Lindisfarne at their worst beat any plastic band trying their best.
