I live in Sonoma County. I remember when the murders happened, and then when the guy was caught. When the details came out for his reasoning I was completely freaked out. I frequented the beach (even slept there once or twice), and went to the river around Forestville around that time. To know this crazy, completely unapologetic killer was around the area at this time still gives me goosebumps.

I’m in Sonoma county too and I don’t remember any of this. I was in my early teens so my parents may have hid it from us but I’m surprised. We don’t get much of this here so when it happens it’s all over.

I am from that area originally. I remember this vividly. I went to school in Forestville. I had seen both Shamus and Sean before. Sonoma county has never fully cared about mental health or proper investigating. Especially in west county where Forestville is. During my time at the high school there were 4 suicides. They never cared

U guys should cover the “leaf killer” Matthew Hoffman. It’s a triple homicide, hostage case with a survivor who went on to write a book. He’s from Knox county Ohio and one of his victims was my best friends aunt Stephanie sprang. It’s truly a crazy story.
