About Summer House:
After a whirlwind engagement last summer, Carl and Lindsay have become consumed by wedding planning. Ciara and Amanda didn't grasp the situation entirely but acted like mean girls when Lindsey spoke. I'm glad Lindsey didn't let it bother her, but Ciara and Amanda still hold some resentment towards her. Let's face it: Carl was playing the victim and setting Lindsey up for failure, which is ridiculous. I'm also glad Paige didn't comment much about Lindsey and Carl because she can see through people. Carl tries to manipulate the audience into blaming Lindsey, who has always been portrayed as the troublemaker in Summer House. It's pretty remarkable how he attempted to make himself look like the victim and sway the audience into thinking that Lindsey was mistreating him when they were both provoking each other.

Supposedly, Carl went to his parents before he went to the Summer House. He kept the bomb of his discussion with his parents for when cameras rolled. Kyle can see no wrong in Carl. He let him keep a job when he was drugged up. Now that he is sober he hired Carl back..the Carl who didn’t seek jobs and lived off so called savings and his gf half rent. Then he wants his gf to jump for joy when he takes a pity job for his friend Kyle.

I’m glad Andy called her out for saying that Carl arranged the breakup with the producers and shut her lies down. Also glad to see Kyle, Amanda, Paige and Ciara call her out on her lies. Carl took accountability for his part. This chick told people he was using drugs as well as accusing him. As a person in recovery that is just too much. Kyle constantly interrupting Lindsay was unbelievable. Every time she tried to say something, Kyle would shut her down. Come on, Kyle, give her a chance to speak! You can't talk to her like that; she's not your wife. And defending your friend Carl when Carl was part of the drama in his own house? I used to support Carl, but after seeing the whole picture at the reunion, it changed my perspective entirely and felt like a betrayal to the viewers. No one needs to villinize Lyndsay. Lyndsay has proved consistently every season that she's a villian. Also everyone knew that their relationship wouldn't work. Carl was and is super fragile state. He has a lot of addiction, mental health, and grieving issues going on. If those 2 would have stayed together it would have been extremely toxic and volatile. Here’s my unsolicited take on the lives of people I’ve never met: Jesse looked so uncomfortable. His shoulders got higher and higher as the show continued. Cheers to him for being cancer-free, having fun, and dating who he damn well chose to despite all the background chatter. Wes was a mess! I get it…he liked Ciara and it didn’t work out. They were just getting to know each other. I mean I know kisses are promises…and for old school Southern women - if we sleep together, we “go together.” It’s the conservative way of choosing to be exclusive. Give the guy a break. Sure, he liked the attention of being in the public eye again like his old footballer days. But so what? Ciara was solidly and staunchly indignant. She put too much pressure on a dude she knew was casual. She didn’t get burned. It just didn’t work out. No need to try and vote him off the island. Paige…love that she stuck up for Ciara but part of being a friend is telling your friend if/when they’re wrong - the agree and support model isn’t fair to anyone. Carl finally broke free from being a Stepford fiancé and supporting Lindsay regardless of how terrible her actions were and being willfully complicit by supporting her. He threw all of his friends and his job beneath a speeding subway car…all because he had to support Lindsay. By the time he found his voice and the bright light of her veneers no longer blinded him, he had landed firmly in the land of Douche-vile. No one cared what he had to say any more because it was the opposite of what he’d been preaching for the last year. Zip it…and try not to get fired again. Cheers to him on maintaining sobriety, but is that how he introduces himself now? Sober Carl only talks about being sober and working out. He also seems to be attracted to strong women but isn’t strong enough to handle them beyond the bedroom. Lindsay was BLIND - not blind-sided. Marriage is her final destination and she doesn’t seem to care how she arrives or the condition of her spouse when they get there. Hopefully she will land on a partner who can handle her nuttiness - it will more than likely be someone well off, doing well business-wise, accustomed to ignoring his histrionic partner and says “yes, honey. I’m sorry. Ok honey” like A LOT. Gabby has become the new Danielle - blindly supporting Lindsay’s every mis-step. But it looks like she had fun when her ears weren’t being assaulted, battered and burned by Lindsay’s skewed accounts of her latest arguments with Carl. Danielle…blah! Why is she so afraid of Lindsay and why on God’s hot, green Earth did it take so many years to complete a simple app? Is it live? I don’t care enough to Google it. At least she had fun - at the expense of a few peoples’ feelings but lots of good, horizontal fun. Kyle…I get it. Summer should be fun! Let him send it a bit on the weekends….he’s like the Australian Shepherd of the group - trying to herd them all in and keep them close. Amanda…hopefully her passion project is already in progress. I vote for lounge/sleepwear. She and her crew love a good layabout. Is the show on pause? Or is that just a rumor? Whatever will casting do with the Tres Amigos? Is it time to yell “CUT!”??

I was really impressed by Lindsay's honesty and self-reflection this season. She openly admitted her mistakes and was transparent about her feelings. On the other hand, Carl seemed to manipulate the situation by portraying himself as the victim and Lindsay as the antagonist, which was totally unfair. I have a newfound respect for Lindsay and it's amazing to see her personal growth. It's clear that she was being truthful, while Carl was trying to control the narrative. The truth is, he didn't want to commit, so he orchestrated this whole scenario to make himself look like the victim and Lindsay the villain, which wasn't the case at all.

Saying that, Lindsay drunk throwing the Carl jab at the beginning...well she got a pass on that behaviour. Also the not working comments, he's getting paid to be on the show. For someone who lets it known shes in weekly therapy for 8 years clearly lacks the self awareness to learn...you dont speak to people like that, a relationship is partnership not a boxing match, when your fiance is trying to figure out their next career direction, listen, be a sounding board, not the arbitration committee and ffs woman no one expects you to be unicorns and rainbows delivering joy and happiness...your so far removed from that id rather talk to anyone else

It made the topic of conversation on their relationship during this season go on longer than it should have to end up making Amanda’s and Kyle’s relationship, on the focus topic on how he spoke and treated her throughout the season turn into being only about a 2 minute conversation at max (p.s. …. The reunions are getting maddening. I cannot watch another reunion of the girls trying to crucify Lindsey again. Yes she is outspoken but the girls really pretended to be her friends and hated her still.
