Jeff, I have a great story for you regarding learning guitar. I am a self taught finger style guitarist, I started learning guitar at age 15 in 1972, and like you, I picked up a few books. I loved Chicago at the time and got ahold of the book of sheet music for their first album. I learned all those chords in Eb (etc.) because I did not know about capos! A few years later I got ahold of the Paul Simon songbook with the same problem. I never knew he used a capo on almost all of his songs until I got to college. Yes, those were piano players transposing the music for the books. We are lucky to have KZbin and even at age 68 I am still learning from watching videos. I meant what I said about Lindsay. I have had a few email interactions with her and all I can say is that she is one very special person. As a side note, I own two Froggy Bottom guitars that I purchased from my good friend Matt Chulka at Eddie's Guitars, a model F and a model C, both in East Indian Rosewood with German Spruce tops and koa binding. Matt has a lot of respect for your work and that is evidenced by him carrying your guitars. Best, DA

I Love Lindsay’s playing! So lovely, as usual. She’s also one of my favorite presenters in the industry. Really knows her stuff!

I'm curious. I went to veterinary school in Minnesota with a Barb Straw. She went on to teach, I believe at Cornell. She would be about 72-74 years old now. There is some physical similarity with Lindsay. Any relation?

Can't say there is! Plus if we're going by appearance, I don't look anything like my Straw side - I've got my mother's face 100%

@@LindsayStraw Thanks for the reply back. Just found the name "Straw" unusual in these parts (lots of Germans, Swedes, Poles, Bohemians, and the like). Weirdly we lived in the same professional "frat" house for a short time (she was a 3rd year student when I was a frosh). Again-only person I knew with the last name Straw until I saw this vid.

@@pedrofinlander Definitely is uncommon! I had never encountered another Straw outside my own small family until last year.
