Aww I started crying at the beginning. :( It's not like it is today... if you move, you still have contact with your friends and family through phone calls and things like myspace. Back then if you moved, odds were that you would never see or hear from those people ever again. So sad. :'(

Mrs. Oleson! I loved her and I hated her at the same time! lol She wasn't all that bad down deep. I heard Melissa Gilbert say how nice Katherine McGregor was to the kids on the set. She took them to movies and introduced Melissa to vintage jewelry. Sounds like a neat lady. She has a lot of talent too!

Very touching. I think people misjudge harriet. YES shes nasty and selfish from her spoiled upbringing. BUT she does have a heart and is very sensisitive. We do see these sides of her from time to time. This was really one moment. Touching to see her break down and Caroline hug her and brush her hair back off her face.

But I reckon in tose hard times they couldn't affort sentimental feelings leavin their town, if their survival is at stake...but I know this feelin well, I live abroad n each holiday home, saying goodbye is d worst.
