Lindsay is a genius on the planet. His art to play, the rythm, melodys, voice and all his presence on stage. I thank god for being able to see him live.

Lindsey is a seriously underrated musical genius. Every song he's 100% involved and forever tweaking to make even better. Christine was a giant talent herself with a voice as sparkling and bright as a star. I will remember her Everywhere.

I went to one of his "small machine" solo shows in far northern Wisconsin late in August 2012. He was beyond unbelievably good.

There are a whole bunch of covers of this song. Lindsay Buckingham sings this absolutely better than any other artist.

Thank you for posting this. He doesn’t play the intro solo on the album and it is hard to find a good video of him playing it. Yours had a good view of the fretboard and I was finally able to figure out what notes he was playing. Very grateful.

Both Clapton and Buckingham were on Christine's solo album originally released in 1984 though, I think, on different tracks. It's an outstanding album.

One of my favorite songs of all time. And notice 2 things... 1) Lindsey's voice is ALL him. No tricks, no autotune...Wow. and 2) He is not using a pick to play. That is pretty rare. Bonus, notice how he picks the guitar like it was a banjo. Something I have only seen a few people able to do.
@wendymartin86195 жыл бұрын
The technical word is Travis picking a lot of people who play know of this technique very few exceed in it.
@simongreynolds4 жыл бұрын
He's too good for a pick...literally - his playing is way too intricate for a pick, he needs all of the fingers on his right hand
@KeatonDee4 жыл бұрын
This is fingerstyle, it would be literally impossible to play this song with a pick lol.
@mikevitiello70223 жыл бұрын
fingerstyle is a whole genre of guitar, and many many players do it. but he is certainly one of the all-time greats!

I've followed him since early Fleetwood days and consider him one of top musical talents ever. He never plays a song the same and each time is spectacular. ✨

To tell the truth Lindsey really doesn't play the guitar - he just tickles the hell out of the strings and the strings just belt out sounds of glee. He is quite the artist isn't he and he paints a very pretty picture.

Lindsey Buckingham sort of was inspired by the folk music revival-- what he's doing is finger-picking on an electric /acoustic guitar.

What the fuck do you need those fucking idiots in the audience sloping calling out why don’t you shut the Fuck Up! Other people are there to listen to them not be irritated by mindless barking dogs!
@alkholos Жыл бұрын
The lyrics from Wet Willie's song, "Keep on Smilin'" make it clear that the artists were bothered by the whistlers and shouters in the audience.
