When I was 4 years old, my newborn sister was diagnosed with brain cancer and my parents had to leave me with my grandparents hundreds of kilometers away from them. To cheer me up, my grandfather took me to a VHS store that was about to close and told me to choose one as a gift. For some reason, a movie called Spiderman caught my attention and I chose it. Today, at 21 years old, every time every time I listen to this song, from minute 331 onwards, small tears fall.

A little bit of polyrhythm is part of what makes that SO distinct!! Spiderman 2 was the first film I had watched where the music caught my attention (particularly the Dock-Ock theme). That got me into Film music, which eventually led to me getting into Classical, and now I’m a self-taught Classical composer. So to an extent I guess you could say Danny Elfman was the first major composer to catch my attention and get me into music!! He has a very unique style!! Love it!!
