I don't know why but somehow the storyline of Shatter Me and Lost Girls hits me deeper than any of your other songs. Like...both videos make me cry when I watch them because they're so full of emotion. There's so much fear and doubt but so much strength in choosing freedom and it's beautiful to me. I honestly have no idea what I'm trying to say, just that both of these videos touch my heart and bring out emotions I didn't even know I had. This video is BEAUTIFUL.

I love how everything ties together so well, the costumes and scenery for example. I feel like this is a sequel and prequal to shatter me. The begging parts where she does not have her violin take place before shatter me. But after glass shatters and the parts with her violin is after words. I feel like the ballerina in the white dress was not rescued because she was still completely believing she was happy in the music box, even if she wasn't. Also, I feel like there are probably more girls trapped in the crystal balls that need to be rescued. I also feel like Lindsey and the other ballerina will return to that forest stronger and try and defeat the witch and her nymph minions to free the other trapped girls. I also feel like Lindsey came back later to rescue the other ballerina. I think I should write this down and give it to Lindsey as a fan gift.

Actually Lindsey lost not too long ago Gavin (her best friend) but also her father, both suddenly, and her whole album is her way of coping with the feelings of having lost two beloved persons. The symbolism in this vid tho! So after the ballerina shatters herself, her next challenge is to face the world. While wandering around the woods, she met some woodland creatures. The creatures symbolize ppl who fake their friendship with you then they destroy/backstab you (like how they danced with lindsey then ripped her dress). Next she came across other people who are still trapped in the globe like her before. These symbolize the ppl who make you feel insecure about the way you live now after shattering yourself. Finally she came across a witch. The witch traps her back in the globe giving her flashbacks about her unhealthy lifestyle. These are the ppl who are able to convince you to go back to your snow globe and live a sad life again. The ballerina fights it and breaks out for the second time and decides to help other ppl shatter themselves.

I just would liek to add, that the Maleficent tries to trap her again into her shell, because it was also a referrend to a save place and that is, where she wants the ballerina to go back. The ballerina is afraid and first let it happen, wants to be save after this new, terrifiyng experience (ya know, mean elfs xD) .But she also remembered, how unhappy she was in that shell, so she fought it and accepted the fact, that live can be cruel sometimes and you have to deal with it.

I'm going to be super honest, I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this music video. I'd already come up with my own little story to go with Lost Girls and didn't want a music video to ruin the way I thought and felt about the song. I decided to give it chance though because Lindsey hasn't disappointed me yet. This music video was brilliant! So glad I watched it. It was a great continuation of Shatter Me and still had its own deeper meaning. Can't wait for the next video!

HPfan 4 ever but it’s not just a sequels though. It literally shows her going through the darkest time of her life after conquering her fear! It shows her fighting through, getting through obstacles only to give up and give in to fear and to end up back where to started only realize that after she’s been through they’re still hope and even in the darkest part of her life there was still light and she could still be light others and show them the way despite of her circumstances because there are people who need her and there are people who are in her situation or have been in her situation before, and finally realizing she’s not alone. With shatter me it was really about her facing her fears, doing what she wanted and accepting heeled and not being afraid to be different or do something different.

Christopher Begeman I'm guessing since there are shards of glass in those scenes it's symbolic. Edit: after watching the full video my guess is that it's symbolic that during the first half of the video she's not completely free yet, but once she breaks free a second time now she's completely free.

When I was listening for the first time this song and for the first time Lindsey, it was exactly at the minute 0:19 when I said to myself: "Ok, I have to buy a violin and learn how to play it." It was in early 2018. Now it's been one years since I could realize my dream, will never regret this decision. Shatter Me was about Lindsey's struggle with anorexia and how she overcame it, while this song is more about her path to recovery and the struggles that come with it. In the video, I think the other ballerinas do not just symbolize other people who struggled with trauma who she -Lindsey- wants to set free and help but also parts of herself that were not quite done struggling with anorexia. I think that as she was finding her new self- after Shatter Me-, and saw the other ballerina's, her ballerina character realized that she was free physically but in her mind, she was still back on her pedestal When she looks at the other ballerina's I think they are parts of her mind still stuck in the patterns of 'dancing', she wants to help them. However, instead of helping right away, she panicked, feeling trapped and back in her dancing box. In the dark fairy scene, Lindsey displays that it's hard to fully break from trauma and it's tempting to fall back into patterns but it takes strength not to be a 'lost person' and take control to leave that part of yourself behind and work to move forward fully and peacefully ( both ballerina's leave). ( Not the best grammar but I hope it was easy to understand )

the song is a sequence to the song "shatter me". in the story of shatter me, it tells of the ballerina inside a problem. She has been living there and have seen no beauty of happiness but she looks pretty and well posed. she then escaped in the globe and decided to just be free from the problem. but in this song, lost girls, it tells the part where the ballerina recovers from the problem. being away from a problem isnt easy. i dont know much of the story but if you watch more of here videos in her other channel she explains the story in lost girls.

I like the idea that both Lost girls and shatter me until the very specific story. Of a young girl that lives a sheltered life, and chooses to run away but is met with the harsh reality of the world. That sometimes pretty people might look like they might help you, but can really hurt you. The symbolism at the end showing her accepting the fact of what's going on, growing, and helping another sheltered girl or abused child come out and show them the ropes. I believe they're the witch or the enchantress is supposed to be like an abuser or someone who's locking you away and holding you up and "sheltering" you, is offering you a chance to come back to that not so great environment, but be safe
