When you record a song or video, there are usually many splices and cuts to make it perfect. When done live, it's just that one take from beginning to end, so what happens happens, this goes for all performers. She is amazing though, her music along with dancing blows my mind.

Wow! When comparing this to the version you did for CMA I can hear how much you've really improved over the years. In that one, I only heard a few minor mistakes. This one has quite a few more. I mean, I noticed before this how much better you've gotten, but this was what really did it for me. Amazing!

I know the difference between a song and a medley but that differanciation is hardly ever made in my native language so i tend to just say song. what you read out of my comment was some sort of hateful critisism against lindsey which it wasn't supposed to be. all i did was point out what i heard.

I noticed as well. I play the violin myself and I know how to play this song and there was quite a few mess-ups. I'm pretty sure that something didn't go as planned because she seemed stressed and didn't take the full potential out of her violin like she normally does. I've seen quite a few live performances from her and even though there are always some small mistakes it was never as bad as here :/

This was not "a song." It was a medley of several songs & carols mashed into one performance. Whatever mistakes might have cropped up came in the form of quick key changes, tempo disparities, octave shifts, and in the rare occasion, a missed note. But do not come on here professing some kind of superior competency over the instrument when you cannot even recognise the difference between a song and a medley of songs. Christ, it is in the description box. "I know how to play this song" indeed.

well since you asked for it. i'm not trying to come upon as some sort of superior violinist because i am by far not. but i know that lindsey can perform this song much better than she did her. i'm not trying to say anything bad against her, i love her music but what i could hear in this video simply wasn't her standard. she has played trancendanse or crystallize with almost no mistakes live before and those to songs are way more difficult so i think something was wrong during this performance.

I don't want to say this as a bad thing against Lindsey. I know she is a great violinist. But during this song it sounded like either she was making mistakes or the violin was out of tune. I could see on her face that something wasn't right. And I think it is significant if I can tell something is wrong since I'm pretty much tone deaf.
