***** Hey man, ive gotta say ive gotten really used to listening to you talk its like I could probably know your voice in public haha. But anyway, you should totally make videos EXPLAINING, little tips and all the other little things that go into transitioning notes and fingers and the bowing and what not within the song. Just something to consider
@Tyler_Kwak9 жыл бұрын
Adam Sciterra That's what I'm actually doing on my other tutorials. Every time I make a new tutorial, I'm now figuring out okay, which part am I supposed to explain, which info is necessary and unnecessary. When it comes to the fingerings, you'll notice me saying low 1, low 2, high 2, blah blah blah. Those are actual fingerings that I suggest, trying to make it easier for you and others. I'm assuming you play the violin, therefore you know that you need fingerings. But just in case: 1 is your pointer finger, 2 is your middle finger, 3 is your ring finger, and 4 is your pinky. I say low 4 because that's the fingering you need for example, an E-flat or B-flat. Most of the time, I'm always on first position. Whenever there's a higher note, I always suggest which fingering should stay the same or change if you're going to shift to a higher position. And about little tips, I talk about which technique works best on my other tutorials like bowing movement by the wrist, lifting your fingerings as little as possible for fast running notes, etc. So I hope this shows how much I considered your comment, and thanks for watching my videos!

@Tyler_Kwak9 жыл бұрын
Jack Ho Thanks for the compliments! I graduated out of high school last year, and tips, I suggest (well obviously) practice, but there's one thing to keep in mind when you play is to BREATHE. When breathing, especially during many parts, you're more stabilized and you have better control. I'll have to see a video of you playing before I make assumptions. XD

@Valeria Miguel: Um, not sure which part you're talking about. If you're talking about the very first note of the whole song, it is for sure, a G on the D string (3rd finger) Definitely not an Open A, that note would be completely off compared to what the actual note is. I'm not sure what you're talking about the "first part". Is it the first note of the whole build-up? If it is, that is also a G on the D string. If you're saying B as in B-flat, just know that B-flat and A# are EXACTLY the same thing. When you said there is hardly an open A, there is actually A LOT of open A(s) used! Also, I hardly use the term A# because B-flat is more commonly used, and it's a lot easier to understand. So, I hope this clears up everything.

@Tyler_Kwak9 жыл бұрын
I'll try! I just need to know exactly where. There were a few others who would like a tutorial on the drop part of Beyond the Veil, and another person said Mirror Haus, though I don't know exactly where. If you can give me the part of Electric Daisy Violin, then I'll upload a tutorial for that someday! :D

This is great, how long did it take for you to learn this?
@Tyler_Kwak8 жыл бұрын
+Maxwell Petrovan Not long really, maybe less than 2 weeks (to memorize it) Because I played a lot of her originals before Take Flight, some of the style is the same and it's really easy to learn and play it.

Oh boy! That song...that song is the HARDEST Lindsey Stirling song in my opinion! I always mess up on the chorus part because it's nothing but 16th notes and intervals. BUT! I do know the notes and proper fingerings! Maybe I can't play it perfectly, but maybe you can! I'll get it up someday!

Thank you so much for your tutorials! They're awesome! I was wondering if you could do one on Shadows and Roundtable Rival. I was also wondering (sorry, I kinda suck at scales) what are the flats and sharps in G minor and C minor? (I'm pretty sure those are the key signatures in Shadows.) Thank you :D
@Tyler_Kwak9 жыл бұрын
Afton Shumate Well, first of all, Shadows is in a key of C minor and G minor. The chorus part is the C- minor part. C minor has 3 flats, and they are, in order, B-flat, E-flat, and A-flat. It's almost the same thing as E-flat major. The scale just starts at C, and most of the notes are the C's. G minor has 2 flats. Just take away the A-flat, and now you have G minor aka B-flat major. Some of Lindsey's songs that are in G minor are: Zi-Zi's Journey, Anti Gravity, Stars Align, Take Flight, and (in her shatter me deluxe album) Eclipse.
