Vonn needs to just stay healthy and enjoy recreational skiing. The level of young talent out there is staggering. You have to push beyond physical limits in the sport, especially downhill. She should stay proud of her record and remain the lovely ambassador that she is and enjoy it.

Very interesting. While we may admire them as athletes, I don't think it is a smart, wise or advisable thing to keep competing at dangerously high level in any sport, once your body has demonstrated that you could not keep on without suffering severe injuries that could possibly left one with long-lasting crippling consequences over time. Even if surgery makes it to bring back some functionality short-term in a joint or member, it doesn't mean that it will perform as well in the long term as if it had never been injured in the first place.

Unfortunately Vonn misses the spotlight and her comeback is like Mike Tyson coming back to fight at 58. She needs to stay away because she is going to get hurt and disappointed. Hope I am wrong but We have all seen this movie before. Miki’s success has pushed her out of the limelight and she cant stand it. Miki is much more a class act as well.

Lindsey has her adidute, and is not afraid to say what she thinks, thats why you might think she is full of herself, she has no problem to say i m dissapointed i wanted to win or i m here for the win On the other hand Mikaela is all flowers and butterflys and rarely says anything of what she really thinks. She always like oh yeah everything is great i m so happy congrats to everyone, and thats it. She is aso playing i dont care if i win cards and proved herself wrong when she had catastrofical olypmics and optes to race all 5 events, and after failing to medal she even entered pararel to try to win a medal and salvage her disapointment. To me her behaviour is just good self control and acting.

Lots of hype . Good mkting means more viewers to watch FIS races. But hype wont get you on the Podium. Lindsay can only Podium in Downhill and Super G. It is possible but unlikely that will happen. What scares me is she will try beyond her capabilities to accomplish that. The same thing Bill Johnson did. If she does land on the Podium , it will be the biggest news in winter sports history.

The sad thing about Lyndsey is if she backed off just a bit and managed the risk like Mikaela does she would likely have north of 100 wins and be a lot healthier.

I don’t think it would be possible. She skied in an all-around era whereas now it’s possible to win the globe with specializing in two disciplines.
