When I became an adult (and later a parent) I realized that there are so many responsibilities during the holidays. I had to shift my perspective and instead few the "chores" as the fun, festive things I *get* to do (not have to do). This helped me enjoy the entire season so much more. If Christmas day, full of relaxing and enjoying the fruits of my labor, was the only fun part of it all, it would feel like soo much work just for one day. Instead, I remind myself to have fun doing all the "to-dos" throughout the month and feel giddy and festive all months long.
