The throwing the wrapping paper behind the couch is such a mood hahaha 😂 I would totally do that! I have a kindle paperwhite that I got when I was like 12 (I’m 27 now) and it STILL works!! I love it so much! Thank you so much for talking about the expectations with holidays and not feeling super into the season. I’ve felt this way for years and I just simply prefer to not really celebrate Christmas anymore and just take it as another day and just try to relax. Although I do still struggle with trying to combat hyping it up in my head because I feel like I have to even though I don’t want to. Thanks for talking about it, I usually feel so alone in this and this definitely made me feel validated for feeling this way ❤ I want to leave behind putting high expectations on holidays and birthdays based on what I feel like other people expect, and bring in celebrating more in line with what I want and what makes me happy

First of all, thank you for vlogmas. I know it takes a lot of work and effort and we appreciate it! I really enjoyed this vlog and when you were talking about being pulled in all different directions for the holidays I FELT THAT so hard. I’m 30 and live about 8 hours away from my family and we’ve been going down there for the past 8 years and while I love seeing them, the drive is really exhausting and weather wise is always sketchy. This year we actually stayed home and it was so nice to be home with my husband and having a chill Christmas. I want to start going down for thanksgiving instead when the weather is better but my mom doesn’t love that idea lol. It’s hard trying to please everyone but also keeping your own peace. It’s so true, what do I want to do, not everyone else. And it’s ok to disappoint the people we love sometimes. We can’t be everything to everyone all the time. Anyways solidarity sister lol. Enjoy your break and happy new year!

Christmas 2025 will be my first Christmas as a mom and as a child of divorced parents with family all over I cannot wait to have an excuse for the next 18 years to simply just not leave my house at all on Christmas Day!
