So excited for vlogmas! I like the two vlogs a week vibe, the month is so busy I never get to watch them all when people post for the whole month. Also the best way I can explain bitters is they are like salt to food, just a dash for flavor. There are a lot of cool herb infused bitters out there! I'm gonna have to try out the peppermint simple syrup btw!

I think the thing with Gilmore girls is that it gets better the more times you watch it. It’s almost like you have to have seen the whole show to really understand and appreciate all of the little character quirks. Stick with it though because it is literally my fave 😂

Wicked part 1 is act 1 of the stage musical, and part 2 will tell the story of act 2! A lot happens in the musical, so they made it into 2 movies so the story wouldn’t be rushed!

Oh I just saw a tik tok about why you’re supposed to put extracts in once your syrup is cooling-it’s because extracts are made from alcohol which burns off with heat, which means burning off the flavor! So always add your extracts once your syrup has cooled a bit

I love bitters! I always put more. I like big dashes you gotta shake up and down vertical at no angle for a true dash. It really is up to your preferences think of bitters as the Salt + Pep in the cocktail world. My favorite type is Rhubarb bitters. I make a spiced cranberry repo tequila hot toddy weekly in the winter ❤

fun fact, the vanilla needs to be added when cooled because it’s alcohol-based so it will boil off if added too soon :)

Could take forever about Wicked! Definitely recommend watching recaps and people breaking everything down! But it’s divided into 2 parts because part 1 of the movie is Act 1 of the the musical, and part 2 of the movie will be Act 2 of the musical. Treat the break like an intermission!

This could be wrong, but I've heard with bitters, you should tip the bottle upside down and then do however many dashes. I think what you did is probably fine, but according to my husband, who loves to make cocktails, that is the proper procedure.

I believe you have peychauds bitters which are very mild compared to angostura bitters. Peychauds is more orange zest, cherry. Where angostura is more aromatic, wormwood, nutmeg, allspice. Angostura is the bitter bottle with the funky oversize paper wrapping.

Definitely watch the interviews w Ariana and Cynthia, you’ll learn a lot about the movie and how it was made. Iconic they sang live the entire movie, and iconic Cynthia did her own stunts and sang live at the same time!! These icons truly poured their heart and soul into this movie 🙂‍↔️🙂‍↕️
