I'm not dissing better help per se but I find it super weird to promote a psychological service. It is against the law where I am (Australia) because the theory is any personal recommendations or advertising could have been persuaded or coerced, which negates the recommendation. But I do believe that everyone should have access to mental health services and even with Medicare seeing a psych is expensive here, so I can't imagine how expensive it is in the states. Still not sure advertising for a mental health company is a good thing

BetterHelp is actually being sued here via class action for being an unethical company and misusing user data - and it’s been all over the news. I enjoy Lindsey’s content but I do believe given the gravity of the situation and the publicity surrounding it is disappointing she’d (and all influencers but ofc some lack more morals than others lol) be working with them in 2023. Tbh BetterHelp has gotten side eyes for years now, for various reasons. 😖 I’ve only heard bad things and the lawsuit confirms it all!

They are speaking the truth, why would you remove that comment?

@lindseyrem I don't want to discount your or your friend's experiences with betterhelp, and it's great that it's worked for all of you, but your comment almost sounds to discredit other's terrible, horrible experiences with the platform just because you had a good one. Use betterhelp all you want, but I'm only criticizing you because you are actively endorsing a platform that is publicly facing a lawsuit and making money off of promoting a dangerous platform to thousands of people. It's so easy to actually Google betterhelp and see the many complaints both from patients AND therapists who have used the platform. Especially when it comes to someone's mental health, it's so despicable that you and many youtubers blindly promote this stupid platform. I think it goes to show how much you care about your audience and how little research goes into youtubers selecting their sponsorships. But anything for money I guess. And mind you, I wouldn't be this critical about a sponsorship if it weren't to do with people's actual health and wellbeing. Not to mention, youtubers being so out of touch and thinking betterhelp is affordable, when it's actually not and insurances don't even cover it.
