Today was a sad day for me. We lost our 13 year old cat to cancer this afternoon. But seeing you with your brand new puppy brought a smile to my face. A new life begins. I hope Hiro brings you a lot of joy for many years. Animal companions are so special ❤❤

Congrats on ur new fanily member. I think animals are therapy for ur soul. I have an almost 21 year old cat and i learn so much from him. He enjoys life and is a fighter. We adopted him from Turkey since there are so many street cats. He lost his one eye but he is such a strong cat, likes to go outside still fights with other cats has no fear..... i learn so much from him especially to never give up on life no matter what. I am sure ur dog will teach u some precious things for life too.

Dear Jen, I am so so happy for you guys! Hiro is so adorable!. You are absolutely right, they bring so much joy and happiness and give unconditional love. We are a small family of three, my husband, our 11 years old dog, Coco and myself. She is always with me and I cannot imagine our days without her. Your dishes look delicious as always, I will surely try the gnocchi once the weather cools off a little in Texas, where we live. You could write a recipe book at this point! We used to have two cats, one with us for 7yrs, one 2yrs(since she was a 3-week kitten) and recently we adopted a street cat. It is quite a challenge for us. The two-year old one becomes so jealous and very very needy to me. But I am sure they will work out their own way. There are just so much fun and joy to have fur babies at all.

Congratulations on your new puppy Hiro. You meals and cake you baked again were so delicious looking and thank you for the different ideas of meals and sweets. I had an Afghan dog until she passed and a Siamese mix cat, so quite the undertaking with getting everyone on a new routine, but in the end everything worked out perfectly and was so enjoyable until they passed of old age. I miss that closeness in my home and keep wanted to get another pet. One visit to my parents with the new dog, when we weren’t watching the dog ate my father’s slippers, thought they were a toy. We laughed years later about that visit and it never happened again with a good toy always near. It will be fun around Christmas holidays with Hiro too for everyone. Our weather in Canada has been sunny and 24 degrees, so very warm summer temperatures which is unheard of and usually rainy and cold, so we are blessed this Autumn. Looking forward to seeing your next video.

My golden retriever knew that when I put lipstick on I was going out. He’d then hop on the sofa like he owned the place and couldn’t wait to have the house all to himself. Congratulations on the new puppy! I have a new puppy as well, and she joined my other two dogs and my four children. Puppies are a lot of work and need a lot of attention. It's funny to remember when I got my first puppy and felt overwhelmed as you do. Now my whole life and home are chaos, so it's probably easier for me to adjust to the puppy life than you with your very organized routine. ☺

Quelle bonne nouvelle, je suis contente pour vous, Hiro a l'air adorable ! C'est juste, un nouvel animal de compagnie peut-être un challenge au début et c'est en tout cas un processus, comme vous le dites sincèrement... Apres, je pense que c'est aussi un beau moyen de grandir, un petit animal aide a se décentrer, a lâcher un peu de contrôle sur certaines choses superflues et donner une nouvelle perspective sur ce qui nous importe vraiment. Je pense que vous trouverez un nouvelle routine sans problème, qui conviendra tant aux besoins d'Hiro qu'aux votres :) PS : une chose m'a un peu choquée cependant, le terme de "layer" concernant votre chien : c'est peut-être une mauvaise traduction ou un choix maladroit, et je vois bien que vous aimez votre chien, seulement je tiens a rappeler au cas ou qu'un chien n'est ni un accessoire ni une "layer", mais bien un être vivant a part entière !

How lovely for you both. Adorable as he is it is a challenge nonetheless. Tired, peeing on the floor, ripping things and endless chewing are not fun. However, you will find the right balance and so will he. I too have a new puppy who we rescued from Cyprus (we live in Guernsey Channel Islands). He is 6 months old and will be a large dog. We have had him 3 weeks and a challenge for us too as he was left to die at 4 weeks old in a car park till rescued by an animal shelter. I have 3 other dogs and cats so the balance is not quite there yet ❤
