Aw man. And now I'm thinking about going back into an A6 haha. There's just something about a small notebook that's so satisfying. It's not intimidating bc it's easy to fill a page and then once you've filled multiple pages it just feels lived in.

I also switched to A6 size journal that I write daily task lists, notes and general thoughts. I still am going to use my A5 bullet journal but for longer collections and planning on year/quarterly/monthly with week schedules. I find the smaller size so much more convenient to move places with and quietly take notes as to the full size journal. I always thought it was wild how people used so many planner/journals but like I get it now each one is for a specific task or situation and they all work together to be more productive or whenever you’re going for

This is my favorite journal set up I've ever seen! So simple, clean, and functional, while also being creative and fun. Also looks realistically maintainable. Excited to make my own version!

Your bujo does not hurt my eyes. Just when I started feeling the pull to add another color, your video popped up like an oasis.Thank you.

I've always loved the L1917 A6 size! If I ever go back to straight-up bullet journaling it'll be in those. It's so satisfying to fill them quickly - you could almost do one per quarter. ^_^

I just love the Midori MD paper it is by far my favorite. But the Leuchtturm paper is really really nice and I just love LT for bullet journaling. I love that they have more pages, they are totally self contained, they have the hard cover, the labels, and pocket. Even tho I like the MD paper I also do not dislike the LT paper and the notebooks LT makes are so much more all-in-one I always bullet journal in them

I just wanted to share that I purchased this notebook! I'm so excited, it arrives today. I'm thinking about getting the pilot vanishing point and your pen case video helped a lot. What you said about hobonichi resonated with me, after the honeymoon period wore off I realized I wanted a bullet journal but I liked the size of the techo so I think this notebook will work great! Thank you for sharing!

I’m definitely team A6 for bullet journaling! Great insight and helpful tips!

Never seen these things closed diagonally. My "internal Monk" is going completely nuts at the moment! There's no need for this to contain the pen: The pen-loop also comes in an XL-version to tuck in Fountainpens... (even rather "girthy" ones)

I used to use the L1917 a5 size for snippet journal. I got so tired of dating it out. When I found Hobonichi planners I never went back. a6 is now my jam. I use the a5 for memory journal.

Very good use of space. I love how you are able to pack lots of information into a small notebook. I did the same as you recently and back plan. However I didn’t put all the notes I had in January back in, just the most important things. I can totally relate on valuing portability. I am moving smaller this month from my Leuchtturm bullet journal edition 2. I love the new 120 gsm paper with my fountain pen ink but it is just too heavy. I do journaling in a Leuchtturm the regular paper and I have a Pilot vanishing point with a fine nib and I use Sailor Pigmented ink Kiwaguro and no feathering. I do have a question. Is this just personal? Or do you include some work related things? You mentioned that you can have it out in your desk. So I’m wondering how you use it during work?

Very cute! The weekly sets ups remind me of the Hobonichi weeks! :-)

Cool setup. I just started at this and have a MD (MIDORI) journal that is a little larger than A6. In Japan it is called "bible size". LOL. Trying to keep it as minimal as possible. Many good ideas here so thank you.

Love this setup! What do you bring with you when you travel? A6 and Hobo Weeks? I am traveling soon and would love hear what works for you.

Hi lindsey! I have the same fountain pen but in a fine nib and it bleeds through the 80g leuchttrum paper like crazy. Would you say the DeAtramentis Ink is worth giving a try? Do you have to wright lightly in your notebook for the ink not to bleed?
@karencolum2 жыл бұрын
Interesting because I have the same fountain pen (Pilot Decimo but they use the same exact nib as the VP just a thinner and lighter body) in a fine nib and it does not bleed through the 80gsm Leuchtturm paper and no feathering. I use Sailor Pigmented Kiwaguro (Black) ink. It is water resistant. Also, I have a Sailor Pro Gear medium fine nib and no bleed through either. But all of my inks are waterproof. I have success with DeAtramentis Document/Archival ink and also Noodler's ink that is water proof, such as 54th Massachusetts.

I am SO switching to pocket. Lately, I have been finding my a5 planner to be LARGE and kind of uncomfortable. Thanks for sharing your setup

I love this! My best planning system was my bujo. I’m not using the Cousin to it’s full potential but I spent the money on it so I’m making myself stick to it.
