I love this song so much. 😢 God spoke the word obedience to me months ago in one of the most chaotic times of my life. I wanted to give up so bad and walk away from everything God had promised me. It all felt like too much. Through loss, betrayal, rejection…I was struggling to find to will to keep pushing. Then God said “Obedience” and I found this song immediately after. It was NOT easy to obey not because I didn’t want to but because my life was falling apart the more I did. Then God reminded me of Job. He also reminded me of Abraham who’s obedience was counted as righteous. The blessing is tied to your obedience. Focus on God. What He spoke over you will happen in time. It’s possible even if it doesn’t look like it. Just obey Him, love Him, and believe Him.

But I wanted to let you know that Christianity is not a religion and it’s not about religion it’s about a relationship with a living God who is kind, true, mighty and love. It’s about his son Jesus who died on the cross for us So we could be made right with God and have an incredible relationship with him. That’s what inspires many musicians to produce songs like this. She’s singing about a living being a living God who hears our worship and prayers and answers. I think if it was just religion you couldn’t fake that type of joy and love singing about someone you’re so in love with.
