I've had a M13 for about 9 months and really like it. It have a ton of features and is very easy to use. Having a ton of pedal buttons to turn on and off is convenient. You can tweak 12 pedals before you even change "scenes."

I just got this for an early Christmas present and im in love with it. The ability to have a complete pedalboard with a looping feature just blows my mind. The overdrives and Distortions are ok, but id recommend sticking with a Overdrive pedal and letting the M13 be placed in your amps effects loop. I rate this product a 10/10 and recommend it to everyone

All the modulation effects (choruses, phasers) are VERY subtle with this unit, it seems from this. The only way I knew there was a chorus added at certain points was bcos you said so. But I couldn't hear it.

The common issue with the Bulgera amps is that the connector leading from the transformer to the output stage melts (heat +plastic =melt) the thing to do is to remove the wires from the clip and it solder them directly to the output stage. I've heard that after the spring of 08 Bulgera addressed this issue in their production line.

@HAZE322 : I have a Dr.Z maz18NR with an fx loop but I prefer running the amp clean - then I don't really need to use the amp's fx loop. I use the distortions in the M13 and I think they sound absolutely great. I also have a BB Preamp (a fine box indeed) which I intend to hook up in the FX loop of the M13 but so far I have had too much fun with the M13 to take the time to try it. :-D

Just stumbled across this video as I was looking for information on my M13 that I am planning to connect to my laptop steel guitar. This helped a lot and makes sense of what I read in the manual. BTW, it looks like you are filming this in the back of a van packed with gear, lol.

@SeattleDude1108 The major flaw with the g major is that you can't use the 4 cable method which means you can't route your compression or distortion effects in front of the amp and your modulation effects through the effects loop at the same time.
@caincolesr14 жыл бұрын
@gwugluud I have one and believe me the effects are anything but subtle.You really have to dial them down. I have been seeking an all in one tone box thats easy to gig with and this m13 is actually A very good deal.The only downfall I have found with it really is that you need to do the update and also buy an exp pedal and thats it.Besides that it really is A great deal. You can also patch in your own effect or stompboxes anywhere in the chain which makes this an awesome deal. Hope that helps.

I have the VG-99 by Roland and also Waves GT3 stuff as well. I want to get more into real tube and then take it from a THD Hot Plate and into some cool analog pedals. I'm also looking into the VB-101 by Two Notes as an option of using my amps and tubes then using their convolution amp and cabss
@gwugluud14 жыл бұрын
@caincolesr It does. Thx 4 your time. I've learned the efx are really good, which I should have known, since I had an XT Live. The effects are beyond Digitech, You can dial in unique sounds by tweaking the choruses and flangers, especially. And the "saturn ring modulator", and others I can't remember. The amp sims sound very organic and full of subtle harmonic content. Also the xt live "eats" outside distortion pedals MUCH better than most others'.

It’s in the manual. The pilots manual, I believe and it’s a very simple process.

I'm looking into 4 pedals. Eventide TimeFactory and Eventide ModFactory, and the Damage Control Glass Nexus, and the Keely 4 knob compressor. This unit looks like a good "Bang 4 Your Buck" product, but can it do and sound as good as what the above 4 can?

If your using delay with this pedal can you stil to the cool trippy noises when you turn the knobs while its playing?

Between this, the m13 and the tc electronics g-major 2, which would you recomend? I know the g major needs a midi foot swic which is like another $500. But is the quality and sound of the effects better in the g major? or is the m13 really that good of a deal because you don't need a footswitch?

Was looking about for reviews of this unit and lo and behold i find it on the tone kings channel :) Thanks for this, i was thinking of picking up one of these to run into my Jvm. But im interested in utilising the noise gate in this unit and was wondering if you had any experience using it with the 4 cable method? I don't fancy buying a separate noise gate as well as the m13. Thanks again

Mr. Tongking, great review. I'm curious about the 4-cable setting.u mentioned that we can set 2 FX block infront of the amp and the other 2 FX block can be behind the amp thru (return and send). How can I configure this setup on M13? How do I connect those cables between M13, guitar and the amp. My current setting is guitar to M13 (FX 4 > 3 > 2 > 1) to amp. I hope you can me with this one.

Cool piece of tech but I'll stick to individual pedals. I have never got on with things like this, anything with an LED screen and that many options is just too much choice for me....I spend more time trying to dial in sounds than playing. Always good to see this type of kit demoed though..you can't help but be curious. Happy Crimbo Tone King.

How should i work on the pedalboard? i mean, after the 4 jacks method, theorically i can choose how many fx unit are directly in the amp and how many in the send return, right? So...what should i do apart from connecting it like shown?

I have asked a dozen people and got zero answers for my question. Can someone answer it please? I know how to hook up the M13 (I think) so that part of it goes into the effects loop and part of it into the front, but I don't know how to set which column of buttons goo to which? I'm looking to do exactly what he's doing here, having one row go into my amp and have the other three go into the effects loop. How EXACTLY do I go about doing that?

I am sorry to say this without having a demo of the m13 up myself, but believe me guys; what you see in this video is just a FRACTION of what the m13 can do. I see this is more a tutorial on the m13 than a sound demo, though, which is cool.

Um, the part where he's talking about FX pedals that go into the Front of the Amp vs. the FX which go into the FX Loop, my newer amps, like my Behringer V-Ampire LX1200 Head Doesn't even acknowledge FX Pedals, unless they're in the FX Loop, otherwise it doesn't even look at them....

As much as I want to like this I just don't dig the tone. I've watched a lot of videos of this unit and it just sounds very lackluster to me. Great idea but I don't think I would be happy with it.
