What a beautiful painting and demo. Thank you. And lovely to think that, even if the old barn is (or already has been) knocked down, it has been recorded for posterity. 🦋

Always enjoy a limited palette. The sky vignette is very creative.

Wonderful video thanks. Struggle with stone facades. Mine are always looking too busy 😢

Yes stone facades is not easy subject, can be easily overworked. Try to not depict every stone, only few suggestions here and there, also make them uneven, some bigger some smaller, different shapes. Good luck!

I love the sky, especially how the birds break out and it opens at the bottom with the soft edges moving into the barn. I wonder about using a diagonal shape emphasizing the direction of light onto the subject. Vignette style just gives watercolor something special. I really enjoy how you are constantly experimenting, never know what you will show us next. Arches is a great paper, I find Baohong and Daler Rowney Langton Prestige to be almost identical though and can be less expensive depending on your location. Saunders Waterford is another very similar but it's almost always the same price as Arches (In Europe... it's much more expensive here in the US). All of them are cotton, internally gelatin sized, which is my favorite type of watercolor paper. You might also try the regular Daler Rowney Langton.. it's part cotton, also gelatin sized, and very good for it's price. It's the only non 100% cotton I would paint on. I just recently got a pad of their pulp paper, Aquafine, to try.. I know several artists who use it with no problem and it's super inexpensive. I have to import the Daler Rowney but it's a deal even with the shipping most of the time, especially if Jacksons has a sale. I can get Baohong at Jacksons now too, or at Amazon here in the US.

Thank you for all the information about the brands, going to look what i can get here. Selection here is quite limited and postage expensive. But i def want to try more papers. The birds. Absolutely wasnt planned. Like they flew out on their own. Also you got me thinking with some of your observations, got an idea for new painting. Thanks a lot!

Your style is such a good blend of realism and a dash of a cartoony/comic book feel. It reminds me so much of the studio Ghibli backgrounds. Always a pleasure to watch you paint! :)

Hi there and thank you. Used Indanthrone only for the barel. Could have been Ultramarine or Prussian, just wanted it to stand out from the sky.

@@wearefamilyart thank you for your return. I’m researching about colors and pigments so I’m very curious about the methods or tips of color using by artists. Anyway these colors fit well on your drawing. 👍👍👍

I think it's about finding your own vibe. I am still exploring, making mistakes, with every painting. Slowly i am finding colours that work for me and i am about to reorganize my palette. I am drawn to transparent, one pigment colours, mostly subdued. But still experimenting with every aspect of painting. Enjoyng the road. Stop by again!

How hard would it be to do a simple voice-over?

First, i am not a natively english speaking person so if i have to speak, i need to usually prepare a written version first. And that takes quite bit of time which i don’t have unfortunately.
