Im new to watercolour, been graphite and ink liners for years so this water stuff is like alchemy to me. I had a proper break through today drawing a photo of a scene from little village near Udine, i used to live there. For the first time I'm happy with what I have done so far... im going to give it glazed layers tomorrow. So a massive thanks Paul! I've watched a ton of how to vids and been failing badly, then I start watching yours and I get it because you explain so well.

I live in New Zealand and purchased your book just recently. I am going to try this beautiful watercolour. I have been using watercolour for many years but I’m a control freak and my work tends to be tight. I like painting figures so it’s easy to overwork them and concentrate on details. my favorite way to paint is line and wash in the great outdoors, which I call onsite sketching. I am not sophisticated enough to do plein air. and even if I did not paint a lick, your videos would still be well worth watching--this one is so cute!! thank you Paul, for consistently brightening my day. xox and I so appreciate the trouble you went to, to find two Italian ladies to reenact the too-much-football conversation about their husbands

Paul, you're such a pleasure to observe! You had me at the beverages while the paint dries LOL. But seriously, folks, your talent and your manner in which youconvey it is truly inspiring. I just love your style! I haven't watercolored in decades but I'm venturing out on a plein air workshop in Barga,Italy in May and will be bringing my watercolors and acrylics and hope to produce something to be proud of before I leave. Thanks to your tutorials I think I have a great head start.
