It's great to have you explain the merits of each approach and why/when they would be employed. I wonder if the misconception happens as we often see pairs of birds advertised for sale as unrelated. People starting out breeding, without the help of a mentor, then make the assumption it's bad to in/line breed, not understanding the issues which can be brought along with an outcross.

Hi Neil I have Rollers and want to inbreed them I have have four brothers and one sister to start with how would you breed them

id bring in one bird mate it to the hen breed a load of young hens mate them to the brothers and build from their mate the young together and build up a family
