Why yes. I could do better. With my fucking eyes closed. It's not the firefighters, but the politicians tying their hands. Once republicans were out of office here, efforts to clear beetle kill trees were suspended. If you listen closely to the firemen, you notice that the firebreaks created in the 60's and 70's have not been maintained. This means that the only place to fight fires is on major roads and ridges nearer to structures than would have been in the past, with only 1 opportunity to get it right. Creating a sophisticated dispensing system that can effectively deploy a gel-forming solution over a fire zone involves integrating two key components: the formulation of the gel-like substance and a delivery mechanism that ensures rapid and precise deployment. Here’s how we can design such a system: ### Formulation of Gel-like Fire Suppression Substance: #### Ingredients (Enhanced with Graphene): 1. **Surfactants**: Mild surfactants suitable for foaming and stability. 2. **Thickeners/Gelling Agents**: Ingredients that rapidly form a gel, enhanced with graphene for improved heat resistance and strength. Options include: - **Bentonite Clay**: Provides rapid gel formation and is fire-resistant. - **Guar Gum**: Natural thickener that enhances viscosity and stability. - **Carbomer**: Synthetic polymer for creating a gel-like texture. - **Graphene**: Added for its thermal conductivity and fire-resistant properties. 3. **Water**: Primary solvent. 4. **Fire Retardants**: Active ingredients like ammonium phosphate or potassium carbonate to suppress combustion. 5. **Preservatives**: Maintains stability. 6. **Optional Additives**: Fragrance or colorants. ### Design of Dispensing System: #### Components: 1. **Dual Chamber Cartridge**: - Divided into two chambers to separately store the components of the gel-forming solution. - One chamber holds the surfactants, thickeners, fire retardants, and water. - The other chamber stores a graphene-enhanced component or activator. 2. **Mixing and Dispensing Mechanism**: - **Mechanical Mixing**: As the cartridge is deployed, a mechanical system (e.g., a piston or mixing blade) ensures that the contents of both chambers are mixed thoroughly before dispensing. - **Activation**: Incorporate a mechanism that activates the mixing process upon deployment, ensuring rapid and homogeneous mixing of the gel components. 3. **Deployment System**: - **Spray Nozzle or Sprinkler System**: Depending on the application, a spray nozzle or a sprinkler system can be designed to disperse the gel over the fire zone and the surrounding area. - **Pressure System**: Utilize a pressure system to ensure sufficient force for dispensing the gel at the desired range and coverage. 4. **Control and Monitoring**: - **Remote Activation**: Include remote activation capabilities for deployment in hazardous areas. - **Monitoring Sensors**: Integrate sensors to monitor the effectiveness of gel dispersion and fire suppression. ### Operational Steps: 1. **Deployment Preparation**: Ensure the cartridge is loaded and ready for deployment in firefighting equipment. 2. **Activation**: Upon activation (manually or remotely), the mixing mechanism initiates, blending the gel-forming substances and graphene. 3. **Deployment**: The mixed gel is dispensed through the spray nozzle or sprinkler system, covering the fire zone and the area ahead of the fire to prevent its spread. 4. **Monitoring and Adjustment**: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of gel deployment and adjust as necessary to contain and extinguish the fire. By integrating advanced materials like graphene into the gel formulation and designing a precise dispensing system, this solution aims to enhance firefighting capabilities, offering rapid and effective fire suppression in critical situations.

According to the EPA, "Wildfires release carbon dioxide emissions and other greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change." So why is the EPA permitting the build of green energy power plants that have been determined to be a "potential trigger for wildfire" without having the means to extinguish the wildfire it will trigger? No water source on site or nearby. No EIR required.
@hibob8414 ай бұрын
I don't know what a "green energy power plant" is (solar? Wind? Geothermal? Tidal? Hydro?) but can you cite an instance of one starting a major wildfire? Also, does it really matter when there are over 30,000 miles of transmission lines (in California alone), some of them a century old, that have already touched off several of the worst fires in our history and present a constant threat? The supposed fire risk of "Green energy power plants" seems like a weird straw to grasp at, almost like you're being deliberately (mis)-informed by interests that would prefer we keep burning fossil fuels forever.
