Line Twist in Fly Casting

Plagued by line twist? This is how and why it occurs - full explanation in the Sexyloops Board "Line Twist and the Parallel Universe" discussion www.sexyloops.co.uk/theboard/... Basically the problem is Oval Casts (Belgian/Spey/etc) forming twists above the line hand that move to below the line hand when the line hand slips line during false casting. Consequently the problem is actually avoidable, which is why Stuntman Ronan, Chris Dore and Morsie don't get line twist problems despite living on a Parallel Universe.

Use a verity of casts casts that cancel each other out, like the double spey and the snake roll.

@@heavenknowsimmiserablenow14 it has to be a combination of forehand and cross-shoulder. But that’s largely determined by the wind and the bank. I think I’m correct in saying that a Snake Roll has the potential to form two twists, Single and Double Speys one twist and a Circle C none.
