Very insightful! Reminds me of our modern Adventist off shoots that are fervent with zeal. They forget that humans communicate first through body language, second through tone of voice, third and least are the words we say. The Savior perfectly displayed this understanding when dealing with the woman at the well and Mary Magdalene. If we could only show others how much we care they would perhaps care how much we know.

I so agree with Pastor Adam’s summary, about being wise with our words. I have often seen the damage of what has been said in the desire to convert, and how it has put the case for faith back several steps, or even turned off someone altogether. So the truth needs to be balanced with wisdom; what to say and when to say it. Led by God’s Holy Spirit, not our own stubborn zeal.

The distribution of that paper about the mass all over France cannot be judged as negative. We are called to do the right indipendently from the consequences. We could apply the same argument for the distribution of the Great Controversy. It is not wise to limit Gods providence by labeling an act as eccessive zeal, for in scripture we find many acts that God used and honored of people that we today would call eccessivly zelant.

I watched this episode on Firstlight channel in New Zealand. Disappointingly, the sound quality in this episode was severely compromised by the presence of loud background music dominating the narration. Why is it necessary to follow this contemporary trend of imposing dramatic, intrusive and distracting music in a programme with the effect of overshadowing the underlying message? Whoever produced this should turn down the volume of music which itself is ominous !!!. The latter becomes the message- rather than the content of the narration- and contributes to creating unwanted emotional effects such as apprehension. For hearing impaired persons, this episode is impossible to follow without subtitles. You should refer to and heed the warnings in Scott Ritsema's excellent series 'Media on the Brain' in relation to the use and abuse of of music in the entertainment industry.

I understand about being cautious & a time & place(eccl 3:1) ... but the TRUTH Of The Almighty has ALWAYS been under persecution & assault (starting w/righteous abel on up to this very day) ... We as believers & followers must at ALL COSTS deliver GOD'S Truth ... or be placed in Ezekiel's Predicament(Ezek 33:6) ... ln this dispensation of time , unless our Saviour returns in our lifetime, we will experience death ... I'm not being frivolous about life , but if you're not living for & speading GOD'S TRUTH , YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD ! ... dead man walking ! ... (Eccl 12:14) The Great Rod Of The UNIVERSE will bring ALL under 'HIS' Judgement ... even the evil , who feel they have gotten away w/something , have served their purpose in our Father's Will , to Refine & Purify the Righteous & their gifts to GOD ! ...
