This topic was so abstract I couldn't understand what was going on behind the scenes. Like I knew how to get the answer but I didnt know what I was doing. No other video explained the concept or the how. Thise videos just literally said "as long as these 3 conditions are it is a subspace". This video clarifies perfectly what it was I needed. I really don't understand why teachers try to overcomplicate everything.

It is unknown if W is a subspace of R when, if we only test one condition and it works, we have no way of knowing that the other conditions will fail. Therefore, if one works then you must try all of the conditions until at least one fails, as then you can stop since W is disqualified to be a subspace. Alternatively you may make it through all of the conditions without a fail, which will mean that W is qualified as a subspace.
