Sir at 42:28, we can write the answer as (-~,-5) U (-2,~)because all the values in these intervals will satisfy the inequality, you also wrote OR in between both cases, Or means union. You are getting no solution because you are considering the intersection of the two cases. (~ stands for infinity)

Brother, any value of the interval you told, will not satisfy the original equation in any possible way, The best way to solve these questions is by using Wavy curve method, By using it, the interval that you will get is (-12,-5). Please Correct me if i am wrong
