With fairchild transistors and the TL072, I did run into some low end frequency distortion. It was corrected with an op amp change. I didn't really look into why it was happening as the new op amp made the problem vanish, but I thought I would put it out there for posterity.

@@qddk9545 eh.... I don't agree. That's antiquated thinking. While I DO favor discrete designs, opamps in well designed and implemented applications will surprise you. I built this amp and it runs against some of the best discrete designs I've built and heard.

@@qddk9545 I know this is a couple of years later, but you should realize that you can swap out the op amps for discrete packages that fit in the same socket (SParkos Labs, orange, and Burson).
