Just got mine in blue from Anglo Italian (together with a pair of tropical wool trousers)and it’s very nice. Fabric is light and not coarse at all, very soft! I used to shop from Octobre (especially trousers), nice quality for the price but I’m moving towards more relaxed fit. I recently shop at Artknit studios (more specialized in knitting as you can imagine) and their linen cotton bowling shirt is really nice, very happy with it, love its brown and how it drapes, very nice on the hand. Many of these brand are new to me, so thank you!

Great video Luke, I’ve always struggled with linen so this is super helpful - keep them coming! I just picked up a linen/rayon blend shirt from Cathcart and the drape from the rayon really changes the game for me. Very affordable too, but I’ve had mixed luck with the brand in the past - must’ve got lucky this time. Ever dabbled in rayon?

Thanks mate! Ive had a couple of rayon blend shirts, definitely helps to add light flowy feel which I’m a big fan of.

can you maybe write down the brands? sometimes you don't hear the name and there is no other hint at what the brands are!

I’m not really a complete brand person but I am more focused on the quality of the linen itself. I have several linen shirts made from Irish linen from Baird McNutt and I like the quality of the linen. Murano sometimes uses this company to source the linen used in their shirts. Although I’m open to any brand that uses quality linen, Murano seems to be a really good, affordable brand. The last two linen shirts I bought were from Murano. One shirt was thrifted for $10 and the other (a popover styled version) was bought new for $70, which isn’t too bad considering most shirts mentioned in the video were above $100.

what i don’t understand is, why linen clothing is so expensive. linen was in the past the garment for the poor and common folks. now they preach it as a high status garment…
