Rielly is a left handed D-man. Dime a dozen. He is a heck of a player and great person and a leader on the Leafs....but so was Demar Derozen for the Raptors. A Rielly trade similar to Derozen for me, keep coming up as the trade that needs to be made but for the right player(s) coming back.

20:36 I don't think they're actually waiting for those guys to do anything. The depth will come during the trade deadline. The leaf's always do very well during the season and The Leafs will make the playoffs even with the lineup that they have now. How far they go into the playoffs Is the question and that I think will be answered during the trade deadline. Also something to think about is both Marner and Tavares are on contract years. They're going to be playing their hearts out

The way to get JT in 3 slot is to move Marner to centre. His size and playmaking is better suited for it than working the wall. He has the defensive acumen and money better spent down the middle. I think he played some there in junior. Change the narrative around Marner. Denis Savard 2.0

lol. It’s simple Leafs paying for 4 franchise players. They don’t even have 1 (based on playoffs). Rielly gets paid more than Forsling. Top teams get huge contributions from guys making less than $4.5M. Anyone of this easily avoidable shortcomings is enough to lampoon a great team (like Nurse and Campbell in Edmonton). Leafs manage to corner the market on self inflicted stupidity. Also I think Berube is definitely worth a shout.
