Essentia is a FANTASTIC tasting water and is about a 9.5 ph in every water test I've seen. I had colorectal cancer and it really helped with my stomach issues following surgery. My sister uses it for irritable bowel syndrome and my sister in law had radiation on her throat and would cry every time she drank the Sam's water. I told them to get some Essentia and she literally said it was like a gift from heaven. No burning at all. Trying to get my other sister who has acid problems to try it too!

pH doesn't determine water quality. It could have an alkaline pH just because sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is added. It can be alkaline yet still have lead, arsenic and mercury in it. The latter is much more important.

Therefore what you want are the almost turquoise waters. They just have different ph and mineral count. High ph water can still contain flouride, lye, bpa chemicals, and much more. Funfact, adding baking soda increases ph by 100000s of times (since ph is logarithmic its 10x each unit) but its acidic resistance can be harmful if taken too much. So please dont down a water bottle full of baking soda xD

I'm seriously dissapointed every time I hear "Alkaline water helps fight bacteria and infection in the body." or, "To change the pH of the body or blood." First of all the pH of your blood is strictly regulated by body. Too acidic is known as ketoacidosis, and too alkaline is Ketoalkalosis, neither of which is a beneficial condition. It takes only a 0.1 swing in the pH of your blood to cause either of these conditions. What really gets me is the super obvious... What happens when you drink water, where does it go? It goes into a stomach which contains???? Stomach acid, with a pH of 1.5-3.5..... Best case you slightly increase the pH of your stomach fluids until the body pump more acid in.

You would know that very basic substances deal as much damage as very acid substances and that ph 4 is still very neutral and that if there was a ph so low or so high to be corrosive, it probably would kill you because is toxic. If you studied you probably wouldn't make a big deal over a slight difference in water ph which is the last thing you should care about your health instead you should focus on other more significant things. You should be concerned with micro plastics, chemical leaching from toxic containers and fluoride as well. Nestle adds fluoride to their water, avoid at all costs! Also, it’s not so much the alkalinity of the foods and beverages you consumed but how they interact with your bodies chemistry that makes it “alkaline”. For instance lemons are an acidic food but they become alkaline in your body. Just FYI… that doesn’t mean go out and drink these acidic waters, good rule of thumb is avoid anything nestle, Pepsi and cola cola company produce.

Voss is very pure water with few minerals at a TDS of 44 ppm. The reason is that minerals (like alkali carbonates) in the other waters not only raise the pH a bit but also act as a buffer, preventing its change. So it's probably picked up CO2 from the atmosphere over time, which forms carbonic acid. In fact, if you test distilled water, you will see it's at about 5.5 pH for the same reason.
