Lingting vs Seeds 34 keys kalimba

I made a mistake in the video. Lingting isn't thicker than Seeds, they have the same thickness: ~2.5 cm (1 inch). Sorry.

I love both seeds and lingting, seeds for having the lower notes F3,B3,A3,G3. Lingting chromatic is probably the better chromatic for those shifting from a 17key to 30 plus key kalimba to start off, as lingting chromatic lacks these lower notes (21 key water whisperer has it)then try other brands that have the lower notes, included.

Thank you for this video. I am a proud owner of the seeds pisces and feel happy with it. Every note had sounded very well and clear - until yesterday. Suddenly the left high D** sounds dead without any sustain. I tried to move it a little bit, I tried to retune, but nothing worked for real. Do you have a solution or similar expieriences to fix it?

Try cleaning underneath and around the tine with a clean make-up or paintbrush? Use a decent quality brush so it doesn't lose hairs. Maybe there is dust or a hair underneath.

Tuning the lingting seems very frustrating. It sounds and looks good though

I've been trying to find tine stickers for this exact ling ting and I'm having a difficult time. Does anyone know or can recommend any good ones? The ones that came with it are super tiny and transparent lol I am already blind as it it.

We have two of this kalimbas and the paper Stickers Change the Sound too much. The transparent one doesnt. So you know If i can buy Stickers for the upper layer with the half Tones #?

I prefer Lingting. I like Lingting sound and the weight doesn't bother me.

Lingting uses screws so it hold the tuning quite well. Mine hasn't gotten out of tune yet since I made this video.

i don't really know why all the chromatic kalimbas have solid and not a hollow body since the sound is extremely low, the kalimba is already not a loud instrument, I think this design should be fit with a pickup although i hate the sound of the piezo pickups, do you know any chromatic kalimbas like this but with a hollow body?

You should look up the moozica 36 key kalimba. it has a hollow body! the keys look a lil wacky but like they sound good in recordings ive heard. dont have it myself because i prefer the solid body sound

The brand Moozica makes chromatic hollow kalimba I think, but they look a bit different

The brand Chill Angels has a 36 key kalimba with a hollow body, but the flatboard 34 key kalimba from the same brand is louder than other flatboard kalimbas.

I have a 34 Hluru solid kalimba and it's too loud for me. In the evening it's even deafening 😅 But I guess it depends on where you're planning to play it.

The insides may be dusty. Try using a decent quality make-up or paint brush (so it doesn't lose hairs) to dust the inside, under and around the keys. Move them back and forth as you dust.

LingTing resonates deeper like sound of bells. In my opinion It's better for meditation playing :)
