I have dealt with this problem too. What stopped it for me was two different hair rinses. Rosemary rinse with some Apple Cider Vinegar and tea rinses. You can use Green Tea or black tea. Even decaf tea works well. Just remember that caffeine is drying to the hair so make sure to address that with a good conditioner. There are many videos on how to stop hair shedding with these rinses. Hope this helps. 😀

I completely understand how you feel...I've had thick beautiful hair all the way down to my waist my whole life and suddenly 8 months ago I noticed my hair was 60% thinner than it used to be and that I had been losing a lot of hair in the shower. It's devistating to me. I've tried everything from changing all my hair products to sulfate, silicone and parabin free, I bought a silk pillow case, I use special hair oils, I take vitamins, I changed my hair ties to gentle ones, I take collagen powder, I eat protein, and I bought a hard water filter for my shower. So far my hair is getting healthier and longer but not thicker... It's still 60-65% thinner than it used to be. I'm devastated and it's just making me stress even more. Hopefully I will see some results soon. 😔
@searcherin16 жыл бұрын
I can relate to that. Everything starts from inside - check your hormones and take Biotin. Also stress has a huge impact on hair. So, relax, take care of yourself and everything will be ok.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm pretty sure I figured out the culprit was an antibiotic (doxycycline) that I was taking for my skin. I stopped taking it about 4mos ago and after a couple months I noticed my hair stopped falling out and I mean my hair was falling out in large amounts and I also noticed a ton of new growth all over my head. So now my hair thinning went from about 60-65% to about 45% so I'm extremely thankful for that. I've been taking collegen and it's helped a lot. Thankfully I have no bald spots but I definitely Miss my hair the way it used to be. I believe in about a year or so it'll be very close to what it used to be. (Deep breath) what a nightmare!

I lost maybe 65% to 70% of my hair it looks so thin compared to how thick it was. I had so much hair before that it was hard for me to swim with it wet. And it was brighter. But nothing is seeming to change. I need to go to the doctor but I don't have insurance here so I have to save some money. My hair has become weak and breaks so easily. I don't know how long the rest of my hair can hold on before I am able to go to the doctor...

Hey Marina, I have advice for this problem. I have this hair loss 3 times a year as the weather change. I used this method and it stopped. I massage the scalp with I capsule vitamin E and coconut oil and very little castor oil, I try to massage 10 min upside down so the blood reach the scalp, then oil my hair with the remaining, then I mix 1 teaspoon of each powders( shikakai, amla, aritha) they are Indian products you can find online or Indian store, I mix them with water and put specially on my roots, wrap with plastic bag, wait for 30 min, wash, I don't use conditioner because it makes me loose hair more. I do this everytime I wash my hair. I promise you will see a difference within 2 weeks

These are a few smaller ones and the one major one: -Stop using heat in your hair or limit use -Give your hair a break from bleaching -Keep hair down as much as possible -Wash hair 1-2 times a week max. Depending on your texture. -Genetics could play a role in hair loss. One big one I noticed for me was birth control (Copper IUD) I noticed within a couple weeks of having it, my hair started falling out like crazy. I had it for 5 months then took it out. My hair is slowly starting to thicken up again at the scalp with new growth, but it took some time. If you do have that type of birth control and nothing else has worked for you, then that may be it.

When I was on a naturopath diet for crohns i drank 2 to 3 high protein shakes a day....almost 100 grams of protein a day and that was the healthiest and thickest my hair has ever been...as soon as i stopped this i lost a lot of hair....high protein is truly the secret...these were vegan rice protein shakes. Along with an Iron multivitamin.

Yes, as all hair-loss sufferers, losing hair is a mystery! I lost half my hair in a short time last year, as well. Again, hair loss recently. My ponytail is now dime sized. It also became dull and straw-like and I experienced an itchy scalp during the hair loss. I did a lot of reading on the internet too and have deducted the following possibilities: #1. Hormones - I am in my mid-forties, thus change in hormones is a likely contributor. #2. I lost weight in a very short period (less than 3 months) last fall/winter. #3. Lack of protein in the diet...a possibility? I may not have been getting enough nutients/protein in my diet as I had restricted myself significantly of dairy, which was a huge part of my diet previously, and I am not a huge lover of just protein alone. #4. Surgery...yes I endured a surgery where I was under for 5 hours, and experienced more hair loss months afterward. #5. Harsh colour treatment - Chunky highlights. You may wonder what changes I made to reduce hair loss? #1. I now take "Biotin". #2. I go to a stylist that has "like issues". She also has thin, fine hair. I still have her colour and lighten my hair, but I use products that she recommends. It may cost me more, but it is worth it because my soft hair seems to have returned,...Finally! I use "Loreal Professional VitaMino Shampoo", "Loreal Smartbond Conditioner", and wash my hair every three days versus everyday. My favorite dry shampoo is "Klorane". I also use coconut oil when my hair begins to look dull. I put a small amount in my hands and work it in my ends the night before a wash. #3. Talked to my doctor. Elimination diets and excessive exercise may cause more harm than good. A well balanced nutrient rich diet with healthy fats and proteins. We do need some fat in our diet. Watch the processed foods as this can also lead to hair-loss, so I have read (not enough nutrients). #4. Hormones. Get your thyroid checked. Unfortunately, the drugs prescribed to combat thyroid issues, sometimes cause hair-loss too. Regular exercise, not excessive exercise, has been a recommended by my doctor, such as, resistance training and light cardio. In closing, I hope one day experts can come up with a solution to this mystery, because our hair hugely impacts our self-confidence in a world where we are judged (no matter how wrong that is) by our appearance. My hair loss is still a mystery.. but I will continue with my new regime and to look for answers to this problem.

I would say that gut health is extremely important since people with mal absorption syndrome or another illness in your intestines will experience vitamins and minerals deficits even trying to supplement then. Also circulatory problems and back problems can compromise the amount of blood which reaches your scalp causing hair loss as well.

Best fish oil is zinzino oil. Oil has not only need to be NOT farmed but processed without oxidation and with least metalic surfaces. Not only that - fish can be frozen 1 time only for 24h (which anyways losses its 50% omega 3), so from zinzino oil you can feel energy boost from 1st bottle. This oil is cheap compared to similiar price oils in the market as none of them had such a big impact in a feew days. Of course I buy 1 month dose (2bottles for 1 person) then I make a short break as it its costly (and I try to repeat more or less same pattern). Omega cleared my skin, removed brain fog gave energy, and if I dont stress my hair loss is minimal during the month (if stressed omega cant help me). During those STRESS PERIODS i do a needle MESOTHERAPHY, that completely removes hair loss for few weeks

Eating jello and getting fresh air helps with hair growth. I had mild alopecia after my thesis submission at Uni, and visited a doctor in London about it, who recommended eating jello, going out for walks to get lots of fresh air, and to just not worry about it. And it worked wonderfully. Hope it works out.

Thank you so much! My hair falls out in crazy amounts from the root every time I wash it. Throughout the week it happens too. I don’t brush my hair because it’s curly until I wash it and that’s not even when I lose the most hair. It happens in shower when I’m washing and conditioning it. I’m going to try what you did. I myself noticed extreme hair loss a few years ago when i noticed i was able to put all my hair into 1 big barrette to make a ponytail, before that my hair was too thick and I noticed my part line on top my head was super sparse and thin :-( I used Rogaine for about 1 year it did help BUT it gave me rapid heartbeats which i learned is one of the side effects, so I stopped using it, I now use a mask once a week of egg yolk, honey and castor oil, and it WORKS so far, plus i started taking Omega 3 Wild Alaskan salmon oil, B12, Calcium and Biotin..so far my hair seems to be growing back. I was told by a pharmacist Rogaine was originally used in a study for Hypertension and instead it ended up growing hair on the people using it, the side effects listed on the bottle are the side effects experienced by those who took part in the study, not all people experienced side effects, but it does work :-) Thank you for sharing your story.

Number one factor in hair loss is water.. so, in some countries like USA for example the water is not pure and got lots of chemicals.. so it damages the hair.. I been loosing my hair for almost 10 years now and when I went to Georgia, I found out they use pure water and the time I was there my hair felt smooth, lively and didn't experience falling.. I live in UAE by the way and here the water have damaged my hair drastically..

IN MY OWN EXPERIENCE I AM LOSING HAIR DUE TO A BOUT WITH COVID AND A SURGERY (under anesthesia) …all in July and August of this year. Two stressors for sure! i had my MD do blood work and rule out a medical problem (nothing found) Im told to sit tight and wait for a few months and the big hair loss will stop. I have been on Biotin and vitamin D3 for a long tyme and im convinced that is the only reason my hair loss was not as severe as some people! My hair loss is starting to ebb, I am no longer seeing my hair all over my clothes or seeing my hair everywhere but on my head! ,so i am sitting patiently and waiting as of now…. Trust me, hair loss like this is traumatizing…but be patient.. it should pass and your hair will return… ❤ you are not alone on this one

Always see a physician first to rule out medical conditions. Example hypothyroidism-low thyroid level- will cause hair loss. Then feel free to follow suggestions by nonprofessionals. However do be cautious about taking supplements above recommended dosage. A complete physical to treat medical conditions followed by a healthy lifestyle is the best way to ensure making the most of our fine hair. My husband loved my silky soft hair that I’d always hated. I have learned to accept my fine hair, don’t love it, but don’t waste time stressing about my genetic imperfections. Thank you for the post, great suggestions.

Supplements : •nutritional or brewer's yeast (b complex) •wild cod liver oil (lots of vit.A and Ω3) •zinc •vit. C COMPLEX (not just the L -ascorbic acid) •If you have digestive issues leading to malabsorption (zinc, protein etc) you should add Betaine hcl. •If you have bile issues leading to malabsorption of fat sol. vit. (D, E etc) you should adress that also. •If you consume a lot of carbs, the possibly elevated insulin levels could be a cause for hairloss. Try chromium supplements . If you have prometabolic syndrome or untreated type 1 diabetes, elevated glucose levels could cause hairloss(and many severe health issues). You should consult your doctor. * I'm not a doctor, those are a few things I gathered over the past few years.

My hair started to fall out like crazy 6 months ago. I went to the doctor, but he said: ‘oh it is probably just occasional. Your hair will get thinner but you won’t be bald, don’t worry’ Well I am sorry but it is not normal for a healthy person to have excess hair loss, especially since I don’t style or dye my hair. Also I don’t take hormones, didn’t lose a lot of weight or something like that and I haven’t been sick for 3 years (only just one cold). There must be a reason for my hairloss. I tried a lot of things: - Reduce stress - Vitamin B12 pills (with methylcobalamine) - Vitamin D - Omega pills (with algal DHA and EPA) - Natural hair soap But after months still no great result. So now I started to change my eat pattern. I eat vegetarian and I don’t use any milk (products), almost no processed food. I do eat a lot of veggies, fruit, seeds, eggs and protein powder. I notice a slight difference now, but still not enough. So now I am going to take iron pills every other day because I don’t eat meat and I am a woman, and I really hope it helps, it is almost my last hope.

I think we have the same problem! It's genetic hypersensitivity for androgens Your hormone levels are normal but it's your body that is sensitive to androgens so you need a anti androgen treatment along with a couple of vitamins and you'll recover maybe 60% of your hair maybe more maybe less it depends on how long ago you started losing it cause the hair follicule dies after being attacked by the androgens for so long ! Basically it's the transformation of testosterone in dihydro testosterone that targets the hair follicule and kills it ! The hair becomes thin at first and then falls for good ! You need to save the follicules who didn't die in the process and make them work again for your hair to grow back again ! Wish the best of luck and thanks for sharing we know we're not alone going through this 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Get a small spray bottle put Thayer’s witch hazel with drops of rosemary oil and spray on your scalp. It depends on size of spray bottle you use as to how much rosemary oil you add. Get 100% pure rosemary oil. (Amazon) I use a really small spray bottle, so about 8 drops of rosemary oil. Hope this helps someone. My situation is better but like you I don’t know what has helped the most. It’s not always the most expensive thing that helps.

Hairloss is caused by DHT not a vitamin deficiency. Dht is formed when there is an excess of testosterone in the body, it gets converted to Dht. You need a natural dht blocker to regrow hair like chaste berry extract or stinging nettle root.

I have used olive oil for 4 years. My goal is just to nourish my hair. My hair is 3c. But in some months, my hair is stronger and becoming bigger. In particular, my new hair is growing faster and in more volume than I expected. I searched Google and know olive oil has a lot of protein, so it makes your hair become stronger and grow faster, and your hair is thicker than normal. So if you lose hair, please use olive oil before or after washing your hair.

Hello, as you were describing your hair shedding, seasonal hair loss came to mind. I also went through surgery 2 months ago & on top of that I was VERY ill. I spent 6 days in the hopital, no food, as I vomited every single day. I think as long as you continue the supplements, eat nutritious food, sleep at least 6-8 hrs & you will see a difference in a few months. Surgery seems to take our immune system down. Thank you for sharing your story.

I think due to stress, I've lost my hair like mad and thankfully it's slowing down. Everyday, message your scalp with Jamaican black castor oil, peppermint oil, basically all the essential oils mixed together. Then tip your head forward to your knees and massage your scalp for at least 5-10 minutes and make sure you slowly raise your head after this procedure. Leave in for at least 1 hour then wash with an organic shampoo. Apparently you should do this for at least 10 days, then once a month. I've done a lot of research on KZbin not only for my hair type but any and everyone with this traumatic experience and that's why I'm here. Your hair should grow back thick and stronger. I've also learned MSM is an amazing supplement to incorporate in your diet which I will be trying later. I wish you happiness and great health.

It can be in form of pills, which you can buy in any pharmacy in Russia or fresh if you find an Altai food stand or a shop somewhere. And basically you mix it into you shampoo (so it becomes kind of dark brown colour) and use it as normal shampoo everyday, but you really have to massage it into your scalp and then leave it in for about 5 min. It really helped me to stop the hair loss! Definitely the most effective product i have used and I think ive tried just about everything lol. But you need to be patient, the visible results only come after about a month, because obviously your hair needs to regenerate and stuff Hope that helps!
