It takes several interactions with a word before you can actually use it. First, you hear it in my video. Second, you use it in a comment down below. Third, you read a magazine and encounter this word once again. Fourth, you start using it. Fifth, it's already in your vocabulary.
If you want to learn more advanced English words, try to read magazines and websites that you find interesting (techcrunch.xom, Vogue, Elle, etc.). Practice 5 new words every day.
(1) TO CONFRONT: to come face to face with (someone)

I reckon your video was impressively structured in a coherent and succinct way. I truly appreciate the time codes and short clips embedded since it made the video even more remarkable. Your empathy and witty comments caught my attention throughout the video and encouraged me to practice some of those words by writing this comment. Cheers!
@nihilira6944
@nihilira6944 2 жыл бұрын
Great job including succinct, that’s a hard one and super painful even as a native speaker to pronounce clearly. If I am to say anything I’d recommend polishing up on empathy and reckon a little more. English is super painful in that you are using the words appropriately for their meaning but if you use them like you did in the comment in conversation it would come out a little clunky. But, again beautifully done.

This was incredibly useful! As a Spanish speaker some of these were super easy because they sound pretty much the same in Spanish, like coherent or empathy, but some other words like witty, reckon or rifle, I see them pretty often and I honestly never really knew how to use them. Like, when I started watching Gilmore Girls I kept seeing people say it was such a witty show but I never really got the actual meaning of that word. Besides you put timestamps and even the words themselves in the description box, which is something most people on KZbin don't do as a way to force you to watch the whole video, and that's really nice from you indeed. Sooo thank you!

I have been consistently confronted by the setback of learning English. When I was rifling through the internet for the ways of learning English, I accidentally clicked into this video and it was a big surprise to me. The video teaches English in a wiffy and coherent way. Before watching the video, I reckoned that learning English is dull but now I find that it can actually be quite fascinating. I have then been obsessed with those videos in the channel that I even turned my friends down once when they asked me out.

@@nihilira6944 What part of what I said is incorrect? Look at the root of the word "coherent". "Herent" in latin means to stick, to adhere etc, while "co" means togheter. Coherent is something that fits together, or by extension, something logical and consistent, or something forming a unified whole if you want to use the oxford dictionary's definition.

“Your explanations are very helpful. You inspire me to practice my English even more. Your tips are very helpful.” I wasn’t sure if this is what you are asking for but I tried to smooth out what you were trying to say. Your second sentence was very good but you don’t need to include literally, it’s implied. Great job
