This girl is very couragous. It reminds me a beautiful piece of Proverb Book in the Holly Bible, chapter 31 versé 10 : Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. 14 She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. 15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. 16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. 18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. 19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. 20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21 She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 23 Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

I used to work in a repair shop, dealing with electric pool pumps. Not once did we bother with windings, which were the most common fault beyond blown starter caps, mechanical seals or bearings. Good to see someone practicing the 'long lost art' of rewinding and a damn shame that it isn't the done thing in today's consumer society.

I use to work in a Mechanical Maintenance workshop in a mine out in the remote West Australian Pilbara so I was used to doing all maintenance on items large and small.. Thank you for the full version of the video of you repairing the sawmill motor, always nice videos from you! 😀My mistake, when you said table I thought it was a table for your house, a piece of furniture. But you could need a new sturdy bench with the heavy motors and engines you repair, so I am sure it will be very rugged when you make it. You could also need a small bench with shelfs on the side of the big bench for all the parts and tools too, so good you have lot of planks now. Looking forward to your next video already! Cheers.

sounds like you were rewinding slot racing car motors. i did a bit of that, back in mid- to late-1960s. lotta patience required, n lotta skill.
@Demun1649 Жыл бұрын
@@dLLund Very true. We were semi-pro in 1/32 and 1/24, taking part in national and international 6, 12 and 24 hour races. I designed a rear axle with a real differential in 1/24, it contained oil for the rear gears, the only car to go 24 hours without a gear change. We won the race. And we got banned after that! The organisers were not interested in the future. They did support using as many magnets as possible, so the car didn't come off the track, which destroys driving skills, but an oil-filled gearbox, shudder, and ban. The only racing I do now is the 1/64th, AFX mostly. And classic chassis and bodies. I do build polycarbonate bodies for my 1960s and 1970s McLaren F1 and CanAm cars. Can't buy the older stuff on the market, and the orange phase of McLaren, when Bruce was alive, is still the most exciting period of motor racing for me.

@@Demun1649 i respect and admire your accomplishments. i was just a lonely, awkward teenager. i subscribed to 1 or 2 slot racing magazines, and tinkered w/ rewinding motors [fewer turns, thicker wire] & transplanting armatures into different motors. luckily, i grew up to be a lonely, awkward man, & now i'm a lonely, awkward 73yo curmudgeon w/ a growing crush on our 'genius girl'. take care.

@hernerweisenberg70522 жыл бұрын
@@gorillaau Its mainly due to the efficiancy i guess, since it gets produced as 3-phase in the power plant, its more effective to use 3 phase for power hungry equipment. If you run too much stuff of single phase, it is very hard to balance the load on all 3 phases equally, and asymetric load is not good ;)

Wow. That brought back memories. When I was in my late teens in the 80s I worked for a motor repair shop every summer. We did exactly the same job. Although we were lucky and had some better tools. Like an hydraulic press to push the bearings in and out. And a pneumatic chisel to cut the windings. But other than that, all the steps were the same. Nowadays all those repair shops are gone. I guess it's cheaper for companies to buy a new motor than to pay somebody for the repair work. It's sad if you ask me.
