So if I’m following this correctly: Mipha wasn’t a fan of the original story that had a blue Zora as the main female love interest, so she wrote her own self insert love story. And somehow it’s better than most self inserts.

As a die-hard miphlink shipper, I wish sooooooo bad that that scene was cannon! But Mipha is gone! Curse you, Nintendo, for letting innocent Mipha get killed at the hand of Waterblight Gannon! On the other hand, Nintendo has announced that they have run out of ideas for games in the BOTW TOTK lineup. That means that a TOTK sequel won't come for a very long time if ever. That is why i have been cookin' up a story plot for what could be a TOTK sequel. Here is the basic rundown: Zelda keeps having bad dreams of all of Hyrule up in flame. Eventually, Link gets worried and goes out to explore all of Hyrule's unknowns, believing the cause to be supernatural. Eventually, he finds it: the tomb of Demon King Demise deep beneath the Akalla Citadel. After a failed attempt at eliminating him which resulted in Link getting his ass beaten, he finds that Demise is too powerful even fo him, Zelda, and all the sages combined! Meanwhile, Purah found that the REST (probably most) of Link's lost memories were hidden deep in the files of the Shekiah slate all along! After Link's gets back from his excursion, Purah transfers the files to Link's brain. He remembered everything. Unfortunately, the flood of memories gave Link a mental overload, as he quickly blacked out. He slept for two whole days, but when he awoke, he was fine, with all his memories to boot! That's when he gets an idea. And so, Zelda sends Link back in time! His mission: to save the champions and use their aid to defeat Demise back in the present! And let's just say that Link and Mipha get little (more like a lot) romantic. As for what happens next, you will have to wait until I make a much more detailed post of the storyline. I will post it as a reply to this comment, so stay tuned for that!
