This storyline was fantastic. So much intrigue, tension and character moments alongside the stakes continuing to be raised. You could easily liken this to a sci-fi Moby Dick now that I think about it. I was wondering what would be next, perhaps a storyline showing that Linkara isn't the only "Champion" (similar to the dropped Magic Gun Wars arc)... and then I get my answer.

You know, sometimes you got to stand back and realize that guys like Malachite, the executor, and Terrl are all whimps compared to Linkara's villians. For the last few months, I have been wondering why and I think I am starting to understand why it is. It isn't because Vyce is stronger than the above, or that Mechakara is scarier than either of them (And thanks to Linkara for keeping his diginity. I hate to think what Doug had for ideas) I think the reason is...because I think Linkara's villians are more developed and have more character than the above. I think that Vyce is a prime example of this. While the Execetor is nothing more than a poor metaphor and Palpatine knock off, Vyce is something that is better than that, a menacing villian with a reson for fighting. While Malachite was a hypocrite, Vyce kind of sticked to his guns. And while Terrl was a parody, Vyce is original. What's more, Vyce is a villian that I can almost feel for and understand. Vyce is the kind of villian I love, the one you can almost feel sorry for. And I do, I really do. The man has had nothing but the hunt, so obessed is he with the idea that the Entity is the only monster, that he could never see anything beyond that. There is a part of me that hopes that maybe there is a way to fix it, to get him to find a bigger fish. I think it doesn't hurt that Vyce mentioned that he had lost people and that there were people he missed. It's like how I see Doom's side of things and if he wasn't evil I would love to help him. What makes Vyce work in opposition to the other Channel Awesome villians, is that he feels more like an actual comic book villian. Somebody who is well develped enough that I want to see more of him. I don't know if I want him redeemed, but I feel like if Linkara ever went that route, Vyce would be it.

All the other characters would agree at the beginning that Linkara has been overworked lately and needs a break. So they deal with (Insert random storyline conflict here) while keeping Linkara in the dark the whole time, despite Linkara running into them at various points and being like "Hey, what are you guys up to? Need any help?" and them being like "Nah, we're good". Eventually Linkara would be very suspicious of why he hasn't encountered any major world-threatening events lately.

Wow...Lewis...that...was amazing...I think this was one of your best storylines yet. Not just for the scenario and build up, but the morals behind it as well. And the way that you finally killed off entity...dude...masterful acting right there. I'll admit I'm bummed at the thought of never seeing Vyce again, but his end was done well. And it shows how he wasn't really a cold hearted villain, but a Champion himself who at first may have had a noble goal, let his fear paranoia and ego influenced him to do villainous things to obtain that goal. And I see what you did there at the end when he said. "We have to find it! The entity will continue to annihilate innocent worlds unless we stop it!" with the response being "indeed and that's why I'm stopping it now.". Meaning that this is when the fact is made clear that Vyce...became the very thing he was hunting. And I'm honestly debating on if he either was trying to desperately get away from the portal, or if in that moment he realized what he had become and was trying to deny it. Heck maybe it was both. I didn't think I'd ever see you top the original entity storyline, but...you did it. This had so much good suspense and build up to it all. And much like original story line the entity is not defeated by guns or swords or any weapons at all for that matter, but words. Words that were powerful enough to make it realize that everything it might have been doing in the end...was all for nothing. Bottom line. FANTASTIC job dude you really outdid yourself with this storyline. And a tournament next huh? I'm honestly not sure how this is gonna go down. It's obvious Jeris is gonna show up and...wait hang on that begs the question where the heck was he? At the end of the Ghostbusters comic review he said he was gonna stick around and then...nothing. Did I forget an episode or did he just go back off screen? And if that's not the case then where the heck was he during all this chaos?

The Entity may be gone, but I'll bet my entire collection of Harley Quinn comic books that Vyce will be back, after all we still need him to hunt the true Dragon known as Linkara, and the best way to do that is by reviewing a comic. Also in terms of the Grand Champion contest while I hate to be that guy Lewis really I do but I just gotta say: "YES I was right!!! Oh my god YES, imagine the possibilities seeing all these different champions like maybe we'll see a champion version of Vyce who reviews comics and HIS linkara is HIS archenemy?! Well, life was a thing too, and my own pride. To break it down: I requested back in... May, I believe? I wanted to hold on to my review slot until the patreon review was announced, then release it. Chrono was my first choice, Stormwatch my second, I forget what my third was (I think it was Green Lantern Rebirth or Corps Recharge). But since Linkara has a lot going on in his life (he's getting or is now married, among other things), that meant January, so I figured I'd ask him to review the first comic I ever read (not counting newspaper strips). I didn't want to hold the slot until January, which I know was a restriction I placed on myself, but I figured that might also get Linkara overworked. Either way, I still maintain Stormwatch had a genuinely interesting team with a genuinely interesting history, it just lacked compelling villains and it ran into the usual Image problems of too many characters and such. A character who died in Issue 2 didn't get a name until Issue 3, after he was dead.

Honestly I'm not certain of that. It seemed like a lot of times he was pulling the whole "I Lord Vyce will be the one to destroy you." It may have started out with good intentions but I think it got corrupted in a hunt for personal glory. Even if it wasn't, like Linkara said Vyce became so consumed by the fear of a meaningless existence, he was too far gone.

The patron requested a limited edition night light from the 80's. As expected, the brightness was poor, the design was gaudy, and the weak recommended bulb kept dying quickly from too much power being forced through it. But in all fairness, it's still better quality than some of the other lights made by the same manufacturer. Also, according to the patron, it was the first artificial light source that really caught their attention as a child. It may not be a good product, but it did help guide a new generation of youth to the joys of lighting decorations.

I know that this arc took way longer than you initially intended but it was really cool to watch it take place and unraveled during that long timespan. But first of all it is time for Halloween comics with the weird guy who occupies your living room for a month! Looking forward to it.

I actually enjoyed this comic's plot a bit, it wasn't too bad compared to other Image stuff… but maybe it's because the bar is *that* low. Though the little "haha Third World terrorists" thing pissed me off A LOT. Maybe it's just the Brazilian in me wanting to punch straight through that sort of caricature, but that was especially bad, just as bad as the "abo" comment in my humble opinion. But still… this entire storyline arc was really interesting in the parallels between LV, the Entity and c!Linkara. I thought that to be one of my favorite bits of seeing the Entity again. The LV-Linkara parallels were a little stronger than the other alternatives in my mind up until the Entity showed up, but damn if this wasn't a great piece on how they were thematically connected. Great stuff. AND THE BOYS ARE BACK TOGETHER! I missed 90s kid a lot for the entire time he was away and I thought he was on the villain's team, and seeing him back with Harvey, Linksano and Pollo makes me happy. And his little chat with c!Linkara…

I feel like there was a missed opportunity for Fuji actually using sumo as his moveset instead of just the regular Hulk/Thing style of "swinging your arms really hard". Sure it's more of a recent thing that wouldn't be widely known back then but I've seen plenty of manga with Sumo fighters who have unique movesets when they fight. Surprisingly the most used move by Sumo wrestlers is palm strikes and slaps, contrary to what America thunk sumos did which was sit on people.

It's weird how into the plot of this comic book review show. I know not everybody likes it, but I just want to remind you that to some people it's as special as the very shows you reference are to you.

That was a great end to the storyline in my opinion. It's interesting how these last few storyline segments have helped humanize Vyce. I mean we've always thought of him as just an obsessed psychopath...and he still is one but mostly thanks to psychological trauma from doing this for so long and having lost so much. It's too bad Vyce couldn't be change but this could and hopefully might be a good end for his character. Plus very clever even if all that work making Comicron 2 kind of got wasted. Great finale to the arc, Linkara! b

well rip Comicron 2, kind of a shame really, while I'm glad we didn't lose Comicron 1, having Comicron 2 was cool, plus the holobridge could have meant there could be storylines set entirely away from earth yet reviews could still be done

Me too; Although since He Doesn't yet see himself as a Champion; I Doubt he'll join the Contest of Champions yet; I could ONLY see him joining if there's a Threat to the Universes that Necessitates his Acceptance to Participate, or f he has an Epiphany where he realizes how much of a champion he is!!

LINKARA! U seam like you could write a great story (battalions powers are weird if he doesn't also use heavy fire power also) just from listening to all these reviews, so I have a question. Would you destroy a concept like this (storm-watch) that could sell floppies of its name alone for a group that has nothing going for it (the authority) as this IP was replaced with. D.C. should have gone all in on Storm-Watch in my opinion, but instead they are going with "The Authority" wich to me speaks volumes on why everything seems to be going wrong with them.

"Project: Genesis" is the in-universe secret government operation that created Gen 13, a comic series which Campbell co-created along with Jim Lee and Brandon Choi.

Lewis, i recomend playing the PS1 version of Chrono Trigger. It's less expensive, and it comes with cutscenes.
