RUMINATIONS: This is one of the silliest comics I’ve ever reviewed… and it’s also so, so much fun. And nostalgic, of course, given my own old Gameboy Pocket I owned as a kid. While I may not have played very many games on the thing, I recently replayed Pokemon Blue on it and it was a treat to do so. I didn’t even realize at the time that the red light was a battery indicator. Was I an idiot? Probably, but also I just didn’t pay much attention to gaming overall, so all I knew was that the cartridges went in one way and hope not to break it. As for the comic itself, I am curious why Tatanga and his forces are so incapable of finding ANYONE else to take over the world. Why is it only HERMAN who’s able to open the portal for them?

Why is Herman's story so crazy....I mean hundreds of other people had to have reported the same things plus you know a whole mall was destroyed.....was their a MIB Video game division??

Does anyone else notice that most of the illustrations of the video game characters are just the concept art from the games, copied-and-pasted over and over on different panels? Did Greg Land work on this comic?

Considering a decent amount of this comic takes place in space, I'm disappointed they didn't use this as an opportunity to bring _Metroid_ into the mix

Just thought I would point this out, but the Kennedy Space Center where NASA launches space shuttles is also in Florida. It would have taken them just as long to get to the space shuttle as it would to just go to Disney World. This detour is a complete waste of time!

Herman giving the gameboy to those kids could be interpreted as an act of cruelty not kindness. He probably thought Tatanga would torment those kids and leave him alone.

(My reaction on Six Flags part.) Me: Oh hell yeah! I remembered that I always wanted to go to Six Flags. Linkara: "Actually, Herman suggested Disney World." Me: Even better! Disney is the most magical place. Well, it would be, if wasn't for the deaths of the most of the characters in most Disney Films.

...-tries to think of a Disney movie where more than three people die, the only one that comes to mind being Hunchback- ...sure. despite the fact that 99% of characters survive all Disney movies, most characters, the most often killed characters being the father and the villains (both parents and the villain of Tarzan bringing the death count to 3. 5 if you count Sabor and Kojak, both parents in Frozen but no one else) and there were ZERO deaths in Moana, almost all characters in a Disney movie die.

questions: 1.why are we still hearing about the life of herman, why not a more likeable charater 2.i know its Nintendo's cash cow, but why is it just about Mario? the comic is supposed to advertuse the entire Game Boy console, not just Mario, i'd expect more games to be advertise

Simply put there were not many games yet on Gameboy. This comic came out less than 6 months after Gameboy release..At this point you pretty much had Mario and other lumnaries as BASEBALL< TENNIS, ALLEYWAY and of course the most thrilling comic book property of them all TETRIS...so yeah not much to draw on here. Other than they had a few licensed properties like Spidey and Bats

So apparently, Tatanga was actually a villain in the Super Mario Land games. So he wasn't created for this comic series... Go figure.

Remy Note Bowser overshadows a lot of the other villains simply by being so much more prominent. It’s hard a current gen Mario game where Bowser isn’t behind some evil

yeah, I think Peach was still a red-head. I think she didn't settle on Blonde until 1996, and Daisy was a Brunette by 97.
