Really great. Avoiding all the "this is how you sign in" type stuff and getting to the stuff that counts

I definitely agree that having a custom background image on LinkedIn is key for STANDING OUT 😊But here's a quick tip - when designing your cover photos, keep in mind that the placement of your profile picture changes on mobile & desktop, so you’ll want to make sure that none of the important information on your LinkedIn banner (such as call-to-actions, contact details) get hidden by your profile picture 😉

It's pretty cool that you went to community college then UCLA. People talk down on that path even though it makes the most sense for majority of the people... Make a video on that if you haven't already. 😀

Really Helpful Video! Could you please tell more about what an entry level student who has no experience (has never worked anywhere) should put on their profile and how to make it look attractive as i’m sure while working at LinkedIn you would have come across such profiles and hence are more familiar and knowledgeable about what to put. Lastly, as you have worked on LinkedIn, why did you choose to not put it on your profile (it’s kind of a personal question and perfectly alright if you choose not to answer i just wanted to know so that I could know on what basis should I evaluate which experiences to put and which not to). Thanks!❤️

Every profile is gonna vary based on your own experience and personal taste. You can use this video as a guide to create your profile. If you have no work experience you could consider putting extracurriculars on your profile. I did work at LinkedIn but I was a contractor. This means that I was not an employee of LinkedIn, but a company called Cushman & Wakefield, which is listed on my profile.

Hi... can uh plz clear my doubt about adding restaurant experience? Basically I am a project management student and I worked as a teacher for a year and I would definitely add that, but I am just little bit concerned about my current part time job which I am doing in a restaurant. what would you suggest me for it?

So applied linguistics? That honestly seems really interesting, what do you plan on doing career-wise? I always get asked that question and sometimes don't know what to answer. Is that bad?

Hi Haily! Thank you for your efforts it really helped me. I was wondering if it is okay if I added the courses, scholarships, and sessions to my experience section?
@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege4 жыл бұрын
You can if you want but I think the experience section is more typically reserved for your employment history

So basically i am from INDIA and i am an engineering student, i am in 2nd year of my college and our college is supposed to be of 4 years.So basicaly i am planning to start a dig in coding world so that i could get internship during by 3rd year .I came across the concept of Linkedin and i really liked it but the problem is that i am new and i am student and i don't have any skills in coding till now i am planning to start learning ,So what should i put in my skills because i don't have that skill till now but i want to get intership and job in that field only. I have got skills which doesn't belong to coding- like (Edting,Photoshop,3D blender . All these i have got some basic knowledge)So should i put these things in my skills or should i leave it blank for now and after completing the learning part then i will start managing my LInkedin....
@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege4 жыл бұрын
Something is better than nothing! I don't think that listing those skills will hurt you, even if they don't relate to coding

Hi Sujith, unfortunately I am not familiar with the Skills Quiz, but endorsements are highly beneficial!

@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege2 жыл бұрын
Hi, any relevant experience that you have from volunteering, extra curriculars, etc will be sufficient for now. I would highly recommend that you try to get some experience during your college years before you enter the job market.
