In 1998 I was 14 years old and saw a commercial for "now that's is what I call rock music" which played a small clip of "one step closer" and I was hooked on Linkin Park. I downloaded all their songs on napster. In 2004 my first gf, of 5 years, cheated on me and broke up with me, and "in the end" was the only song I could listen to for months. It still hurts a bit to this day, but i have learned that it's ok to be sad. It's a part of life. This band has united people through their emotions for decades and across generations... It's awesome to know music can connect people in this way. None of us are all that different, be it older or younger, we're all the same.
