I use to love Linkin Park. I remember coming home from work one day, after learning of Chester's passing I made some bad taste joke about it to my mom. Something I heard on radio. (I tested car stereos for work so listened to stations all day) After repeating the joke my mom looked at me straight faced and said "I don't know if I should tell you..." the day I found out Chester had chose to end it all is the day I found out my childhood best friend did the same: Witnesses said he just sat on train tracks and faced the train. Guess he survived the initial hit and passed at the hospital. No one knows why he did it. He left a 9 yo daughter behind. Ever since then, Linkin Park, a band I'd pass out to with headphones on to in high school...hits different. No matter their song it brings me sorrow. 😔

I love them too. For next potential choices: Given Up, By Myself, also a lot of the reanimation album. Songs you know and love remixed by Linkin Park years after they wrote them. Given up has this incredible 17 second note Chester just wails on and it's so HYPE!!!

LP is amazing and one of my favorite all time bands. I’m lucky I got to see them live and Chester Bennington was an amazing vocalist with great control of his voice. Their mashup song Numb/Encore with Jay-Z is awesome. Also their songs In the End, Bleed it Out, Heads Held High, Numb, Burn it Down, What I’ve Done, New Divide, Given Up and so many more are fantastic. Their new songs with Emily Armstrong, Heavy is the Crown and Emptiness Machine are very solid and I really do like them. I’m unsure on my thoughts of her performing the old songs, she isn’t bad but I’m not sold, but the new stuff is good.

Wow, this song came out in 2003 - 20+ years ago... I remember Linkin Park's 2nd album 'Meteora' getting heavily promoted that year... there were posters of the album cover on the sidewalks of Washington, DC. Chester Bennington on vocals (R.I.P.)... w/ Mike Shinoda (rap co-vocals) ... Seems like yesterday but a lifetime ago.

Classic Linkin Park to me. Had all their tried & true elements, mixing electronics with rapping and rock. That’s the future of music as far as I’m concerned. Multiple styles being blended- it’s how the art form will con’t to grow and evolve. R.I.P. to Chester; I agree with others that his clean singing was light and soft, while his screams were forceful, gritty and raging. He deserved peace, and he deserved to belong.

Hi Mia Chester was my all time favorite vocalist and I was obsessed with Linkin Park. I fondly remember going to see Transformers w my dad and hearing the theme song. I was supposed to see the band when Chester passed away. I vividly remember where I was and celeb death usually do not effect me but remember crying and wishing he was able to get the help he needed. When he saved many others w depression but lost his own battle. The new Linkin Park w Emily is ok but it’s a different band imo. I saw her 2nd ever concert and she did her best to sing Chester’s songs but was not nearly the same

It was a few years ago after the death of Chris Cornell (another artist you should check out) which I believe was a year to the day Chester passed away. You should listen to Faint, or one step closer

I never suggested LP songs because I thought you may have already heard them. I will suggest you learn of what happened to Chester (vocals). They came out when I was nearing 40 yrs...but I do like many of their songs and have one or three CD's of theirs. Plus...you don't need to have a favorite for me. I've been listening to bands since the 60's...and I am not about to pick one over the rest. Because I enjoy them all and there's just those times throughout one's life when turning to one is needed; to fit the mood or because my feelings will relate. So ♥ those you ♥ and play them when you feel the need. Oh...I thought your latest favorite singer was Serj Tankian of System of a Down?

I don't know it's beautiful you are I can call you meow in the moment cuz you are as cute as a kitty cat you're reacting to one of my other favorite bands that I got to see you live in 2003 we had Static-X open Linkin Park next Limp biscuit in the middle Metallica headlined they were all good but Limp Bizkit was blown right off the stage by Linkin Park when I'm before them metallic was great hopefully they played a lot of songs after older albums because this was during the 2003 Saint anger tour which is their suckiest album ever I'm not the only one millions of people agree but because Metallica did play a lot of their older stuff stole a excellent ear ringing night
