Man when he steps back after the first verse of leave out All the rest you can just see the admiration in his eyes for his fans. That was really a beautiful moment that brought me to tears. I think the reason he endured for so long was specifically for his fans. To inspire others who suffer from depression or drug addiction or whatever it may be that they battle with, he wanted to let them know that they weren't alone. Despite the daily battles he fought and the demons he struggled with he kept going for us. What a beautiful soul. I don't know of another artist who genuinely loved his fans more than Chester bennington.

It's 3am right now, in 2022. I'm watching this video over and over again, bawling. Chester Bennington was such a gem of a human being and my heart weeps for the pain he must have had inside of him for so long. I know I've never met him, but he left a void in my own and many other lives that will never be filled. I will listen to his music until the day I die and will always feel the pain of his abscence in this world. What a man he was.

You know, for me, even though I had nothing to do with it, Chester Bennington’s death was and still is personal for me, for 2 reasons. One, because I almost killed myself for a different reason, and I knew exactly what he went through, and the reason being, it’s because I was 15 years old, and I was about to start my freshman year of high school at the time, and I was just a week away from starting high school, and well, even though I know it was her time to go, as she was 85 years old at the time, my grandmother passed away, and she died a week before my freshman year of high school could start for me, and well, it wasn’t right after she died, and well, it wasn’t right after she died, and it wasn’t by September of the year, but I remember very well, in between September and December of 2015, either by October or by November of 2015, I had thoughts of suicide, as I was really sad and depressed that my grandmother passed away in 2015, I didn’t know how else to deal with her death. And I was a 15 year old kid, starting high school when my grandmother died, and it was fresh after her death at the time. It took me a while, to learn on how to get through that darkness of my life. And well, about my suicidal thoughts, I eventually thought deeper about them, and I was asking myself, if I was dead from suicide, how would everybody who I know and love around me, from my family and friends, how would everybody react? What would everybody around me, who I know and love, say or even think about me? And I also thought about my grandmother, if she was still alive, how would she have reacted? What would she have said or thought about me if she was still alive, and if she knew if I would’ve died from suicide? It was hard, and it took me a while, but I eventually figured out and realized, that suicide wasn’t and it still isn’t, the answer for anything in life. And two, because it was literally 9 days after my 17th birthday at the time, and then he died of suicide on July 20th of 2017. So for almost 6 years now, as well as almost 8 years, that is mainly and mostly, why his death, was is and always will be, personal for me, even though I had nothing to do with it.

A voice of a generation. His death is equal if not greater to that of micheal jacksons. Its insane thinking about how many people were actually touched by Chester's voice. I never imagined all the positive feedback everyone had after his passing. Guess we didnt show how much he mattered to us when it counted. Thanks for saving millions of others like me from our dark times. Rest easy legend

"The so-called ‘psychotically depressed’ person who tries to kill herself doesn’t do so out of quote ‘hopelessness’ or any abstract conviction that life’s assets and debits do not square. And surely not because death seems suddenly appealing. The person in whom Its invisible agony reaches a certain unendurable level will kill herself the same way a trapped person will eventually jump from the window of a burning high-rise. Make no mistake about people who leap from burning windows. Their terror of falling from a great height is still just as great as it would be for you or me standing speculatively at the same window just checking out the view; i.e. the fear of falling remains a constant. The variable here is the other terror, the fire’s flames: when the flames get close enough, falling to death becomes the slightly less terrible of two terrors. It’s not desiring the fall; it’s terror of the flames. And yet nobody down on the sidewalk, looking up and yelling ‘Don’t!’ and ‘Hang on!’, can understand the jump. Not really. You’d have to have personally been trapped and felt flames to really understand a terror way beyond falling."

Memento Mori

lyrics: I dreamed I was missing You were so scared But no one would listen Cause no one else cared After my dreaming I woke with this fear What am I leaving When I'm done here? So, if you're asking me, I want you to know When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed And don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest I close both locks below the window I close both blinds and turn away Sometimes solutions aren't so simple Sometimes goodbye's the only way, oh And the sun will set for you The sun will set for you And the shadow of the day Will embrace the world in gray And the sun will set for you Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go Do you feel cold and lost in desperation You build up hope but failure's all you've known Remember all the sadness and frustration And let it go, let it go

Linkin Park was a important part of my childhood/teen years, but I forgot about them. Then in 2015 I had the chance to go see them perform, and i remembered what they meant to me. Particulary This meadley along Castle of glass. Was a combination with The old and new of them. Was beautiful. And then two years later Chester was gone. And it hurt me a lot, It had never cross my mind what if he die? You know. Im glad I could go see them perform. Linkin Park will always have a special place in my heart, as Chester does now
