I'm a grown family man with 3 daughters who followed LP's entire career from Hybrid Theory 2000, the same year I met my wife, had 3 Beautiful daughters & was even lucky enough to take my oldest to see them in concert with phenomenal seats here in Toronto in 2011. It doesn't matter how many years have gone by, as a grown man I'm NOT ashamed to admit with a very hard upbringing & past that it's extremely hard to listen to Chester without tears flowing.🎶😢

I went to the summer sanitarium tour in 04 the year I graduated. The artists were linkin park, mudvayne, deftones, limp biskit, and Metallica headlining. I always liked linkin park but they weren’t my favorite band. They came out and blew the roof off the stadium with an absolutely EPIC performance. In the crowd of thousands and thousands of people, not a single person was sitting. Every person there was standing on their seats and just a wave of people jumping in the crowd with their hands up singing every word of every song. I was astounded. It was absolutely incredible

The song was on the one more light disc. They wrote it for a friend, or a wife of a friend who died because of cancer (if i remeber correct. After that, Chaz and the band used it as a tribute to Chris Cornell (one of if not the best friend of Chester) and now its his own tribute song… Its been so fucking long, since he left us, but it dosen‘t get easier to think about it. He is missed so freaking much. But he still helps alot of us. And after all, the Linkin Park fanbase, the LP army is now one big family. We all watch out for each other!

That lyric gets me every time. I lost my best friend to Leukemia when he was 21. We would always go to his house to jam in his garage, and he and his grandparents would grill for us. I went over there multiple times after he passed, and there was always that empty chair. I always held it together for his grandparents, but inside, I was falling apart. It didn't feel fair. I only got to know him for 4 or 5 years. This song just gets me for that reason.

@@nikkireviews LOATR's lyrics feels like Chester talking to the listener, after the listener wakes up from a dream where they saw themselves pass away. And the rest of the lyrics is like a suicide note left by Chester hidden away until it is found after he's already passed away, specifically the lyrics that comes after the first Pre-Chorus.

Lovely, genuine reaction to what is a very emotional song. I've watched many reactions to this and almost every one involved tears. Massive respect for not pausing, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. just enjoy the song.(absolute masterpiece btw, i was also crying). also its worth saying that not pausing a song to react 'just because you should' is so much more real and makes for such a better video. it obviously hit you somewhere deep and it should do! especially after his death this song is incredibly emotional but you're real and that's amazing because a majority of youtubers are fake as fuck, its nice to finally see a genuine person. Anyway I'm waffling but was a Fantastic reaction. keep doing you and never apologize for being yourself.1 more subscriber confirmed!

I discovered this song sometime late last year and listening to it after losing my great grandmother and my dog in the same year this year has been one of the hardest things I have ever had to deal with. The line "one more chair, than you need." hits me especially hard since my great grandmother (on my mom's side) lived up West Virginia and we would (still do) travel up there for Thanksgiving to hang out and well to eat Thanksgiving lunch/dinner together and just have a grand ole time. She is the "one more chair" and it breaks my heart going up there and not seeing her in her recliner or her hospital bed (that's a long story). And lastly my sweet Bella boo; who passed a little over a month ago now has brought me to my knees from crying so hard. She was that sweet fluffy dog who would make you wonder if she actually was a dog or a cat with how she acted, but anyways she was so funny and overall a good dog. What hits me hard about her passing is that I am 21 and she was 13 so she was in my life for over half of it, and now I have to live my life without her and knowing that really breaks my heart. I miss you great grandma and Bella. 😘😢

Have you reacted to Linkin Park - Papercut? It kinda sums up their musical style for the first album, Hybrid Theory. They kinda kept to that style to some degree in their second, and kinda split the community in their third by starting to deviate from the formula. The Catalyst, from their album A Thousand Sun, sounds totally different. Still high energy, but a very different style.
