I was there and this is what I remember. Everyone was extremely hyped and still hardcore fans of HT and Meteora. After this gig most ppl said they wished that they would have played even more „old stuff“. In hindsight of course this was a legendary evening. It just serves as an example of how nostalgia can change your perception and what expectations have to do with it. For me, a milestone experience was seeing Linkin Park for the first time in 2004 at Rock am Ring. It sparked a love for music especially the heavier kind and my loyalty towards this band is ongoing, simply because of the experience back in 2004, when I was a kid at his first Rock festival, (courtesy of my friends Dad who went there with us an was bored to death). I was lucky enough to meet Mike Shinoda in 2019 and I told him exactly that. It’s such a shame ppl can’t experience this band as they were anymore.
