Looking back after Meteora 20 came out, Mike wasn't kidding. They could have made more versions of meteora and hybrid theory, which you can see in Meteora 20 that they could easily do that with ease and successfully. With that said, I'm so glad they departed and did their own thing when they made minutes to midnight and a thousand suns. because it shows they had more to offer sonically for themselves, and had more range than what everyone often associated them with. Thank you LP for having an impact and opening the floodgates for music listeners that ended up loving other artists that impacted them and listening to a swath of genres such as Djent metal, break beat etc and then some.

Minutes to Midnight was great lol It was A Thousand Suns where people started to drop off. MTM was a natural progression of their sound. A Thousand Suns was a complete change of genre. As a fan of Linkin Park who loved Chester, my mind didn't change just because Chester died. I really don't like One More Light. I liked Heavy, but the rest of the album just wasn't for me. I really didn't like A Thousand Suns or The Hunting Party. Living Things was the only post MTM album where I liked the majority of the songs. People go to a certain band because they like the way they sound. Doesn't matter who they are. If Justin Bieber released a heavy metal album tomorrow, his fans would turn on him. If Metallica released a country album tomorrow, their fans would hate it. It could be the greatest album of all time, but you can't be surprised that your fans who liked you for one thing don't like drastic changes. When you buy a chocolate bar you expect chocolate, not nougat. You might really like nougat. The nougat might be really good. But you wanted chocolate.

I introduced my friends to LP and some of them who had printers at their homes (not a very common thing in India), used to bring printouts of LP and Chester specifically for me. I used to scrape things like "Linkin Park Rocks", " LP is the best band", "I love LP" using a compass, literally on every single bench. I still have those printouts, I have posters in my rooms which they got me and most importantly I still have those beautiful and innocent memories of when I first got introduced to LP and their amazing and in a sense, life-changing music. I used to consider myself so lucky to be born in the era where they made music, I just hoped to see them live and meet all of them once, it hurts to realise that that is never gonna happen. However, Linkin Park changed my life, and no matter what I'll always remain a soldier

What I love about No More Sorrow is how the vocal’s melody in the verse is 100% the same as the verses in Depeche Mode’s “Strangelove”. Not sure if they ever got or answered a question about that, but after Mike’s remix of Enjoy the Silence became the lead single to DM’s remix compilation in 2004, the band multiple times confessing their love for DM, Chester singing parts of Strangelove on tour, LP later appearing on DM’s social media accounts, I’m sure this was more a homage than a rip-off, and that DM were fully aware of this too! Love that song!

So many people disliked the newer albums, but think about it like this: Your favorite artist/band puts out a new song/album.. You hate it because it doesn't sound like their usual songs.. Stop and ask yourself: "If I didn't know who made this song, would I like it? Is the song itself good?" If the answer is yes: Celebrate the amazing diversity and musical talent the artist/band you like If the answer is no: Celebrate the amazing diversity and musical talent the artist/band you like, and then don't listen to that particular song you didn't like Thanks for all the music you've made! Its heartwarming to hear about Mike's struggle to take over some of the singing. I saw you guys in Oklahoma City in 2008 I believe it was. Anyway, Chester tore his larynx or something cray during the show. But you guys still did an encore! I remember screaming out for some of the Minutes to Midnight songs. I would have lost it if you all played "In Between".

One of my favorite parts about Linkin Park is how they change it up each time and follow their own ear, instead of letting the expectations get to them. That's what makes them so timeless.

Most Underrated album of LP. Still remember those days of 2007 when this album was released. Nostalgia
@Tentadish2 жыл бұрын
LP was my bridge from rap to rock when I was young, since I grew up in an area where mainly rap was the music preference. And that made me find out who I was, how music can affect you and how it can perfectly describe how you feel. LP took the two music genres I loved and combined them, and combined lyrics that covered how I felt and what I had been through. Ive never gotten to see them live, and thats probably a regret I`ll carry with me to the grave, but I know that without their music I probably wouldnt be who I am today, or maybe even be here at all. Theres probably many LP fans that feel the same way, and I hope every single band member knows this. I wish them all the best moving forward, and I hope they have the best life they can. They sure as hell deserve it!

I remember being bummed out when the record came out, because it sounded like nothing I was expecting. But I kept on listening and fell in love with the record after all. Now looking back at this record, these guys were sooo ahead of their time. MTM is still in my top 10 favorite albums of all time!

The voice is close and fresh, so it makes me think that Chester is probably alive somewhere. I am also mentally bound by my mother and live,Sometimes I get damaged and I feel like I'm going to take my mind and body. I always remember you at that time,Chester. I'm holding up somehow...from Japan.

It's so cool to watch these videos! The "making of" of something is so inspiring, interesting, and makes you like being a part of the process. It also lets you know what it takes to create such a great album: hard work, consistency, and more hard work.
