Linksys LRT224 - Dual WAN Gigabit Router - Unbox & Setup

In the continuation video, I hope you can show how to deploy the LRT224 / 214 to allow a remote PC to use a secure VPN to access the equipment behind the LRT224. In my case, I have the LRT214 located in a remote, astronomical observatory and I want my home PC (Win 10 Pro) to be able to access all the observatory equipment like it was on my home network.

Hy there I have installed this device in a client network which has 2 x100 Mbits lines to agregate. The aggregations work fine but there is something crashing once every 2 weeks because all the access points that make 4 different wifi Lans stop to route the trafic. Actually even AP says they have access on internet but no wifi device is actually working. Any ideas if is a bug in firmware or any faulty configuration that can make this? I tried to do many test by changing settings but still crush and after a restart it works normally.

My question about LRT224: is this device can support dual Public static IP already given from Verizon for Amazon business. 2 company we are sharing same warehouse? We can use same modem & internet but different network and different public IP for both Upload and download.

Hey Willie! Hope you are doing great! I wanna ask that is I setup a vpn at this wan router and then connect a wifi router with it, then do the wifi router uses the vpn provided ip address or the default (ISP) IP address? My main aim is to connect this WAN router with my currently installed router using LAN. then setup VPN on this WAN router and connect it with the WiFi router to gain VPN enabled internet access on my laptop and mobiles. Thanks

Question, can I put one WAN link and one LAN link(from another router) in the 2 WAN ports and still achieve internet redundancy? Of course both links with different IP address scheme?

I need help selecting a dual wan WiFi router for my boat. I want to be able select between WiFi and mifi as a source of internet for my boat network. Currently I have a groove 52HPn mounted on the mast to receive marina WiFi, works great. Now I want to add a netgear nighthawk M1 MR1100 hotspot. I need a WiFi router that will allow me to select between the two internet sources. What do you recommend?

9:55 - i thought this was a gigabit router, why do the ports only go up to 100M speed?

LRT224 is gigabit. In order to get the full gigabit speed you leave the links to auto negotiate.

Does every Linksys Wi-Fi Box comes with a Virtual Private Network (VPN)? Because nowadays I feel like somebody is going to stalk my digital/technical information and attempt to brake in my house for over a number of complaints what I did online, although I personally don't mean any threat to nobody.

No one should be stuck with any Linksys equipment. The crap has been resold 3-5 times. Stay away.

@@WillieHowe back in the day the product didn't do well. Cisco purchased them and things didn't get much better. Then Cisco sold them to Belkin in 2013. This is not a network company, it's a brand name. We have so many other options today and I do not see the room in the space to support them. Its a big ask from big box re-sellers to stock this when they have a shelf full of customer electronics in this space. Any when gray haired IT professionals see the name Belkin, they run.

I have spent 7 hrs on the phone with Linksys today with this garbage item! It won't allow you to use a Linksys 3200acm and keep 192.Ip's. It is garbage.. Prove me wrong!!?
