I definately found it thought-provoking. The point is that historically these specifically underrepresented communities have not been considered important opinions to hear in this realm, but now that "modernity" if being faced with an enviromental impediment, meaning that the earth we've been destroying for so long is threatening to now destroy US--- thier opinions and insight are suddenly valued.

Experts are indeed looking to these people for answers and 'natural' alternatives to the 'unnatural' way we live our lives and conduct our industrial activity

I think what's being said by them is that this is the time to give it a rest, meaning slow down activity that impacts the environment/ or reformat the way we produce things/waste things in order to allow the earth to 'rest' as the aymara puts it.

See, feel and love with the heart not with the head, Man has lost contact with mother earth and was fooled into giving up the land and move to the cities in hope for a better life, I would suggest to stop eating the platform we are standing on, of which is earth
