no but seriously, du cheng has all the reasons to ask shen yi to stay away from his own study about criminal nature. shen yi's mental health for sure worries du cheng to some levels. you can point out that friends/colleges/partners should support each other no matter what. however, if i were du cheng, i would have stopped shen yi right there too. as human beings, we're incredibly strong yet so fragile. i can't help but shitting myself just thinking about how helpless it must feel seeing your friend jump right into a trap that you have warned him multiple times before

Shen Yi’s behavior kind of reminds me of a Profiler with an eye for art. Reminds me of Song Ha Young from Through The Darkness. Both can deeply connect with people’s minds and understand them. And they’re both going too far into the abyss.
